Really? I'm thinking on getting it. I'm just wondering how the controls are. Are they more like project gotham 2? Cause if they are any more "realistic" then pgr2 then I won't like that By realistic I mean friggan hard!

never really played pgr2, but i did play the first, and its not really the same at all. It is a bit harder to control though since you're racing on dirt alot, but its got more of an arcade feel imo... plus it has an expanded assortment of tune up stuff you can do to your car....

yeah this game is awesome... my only dislike is the look of the cars online when collisions are off... but otherwise its visually amazing and the control of the game is great

Yea this game is amazing. I'm blown away by the graphics they're just... amazing..

Almost forgot. If you have a digital surround sound sytem you're in for a treat. The car sounds are dead on. On most racers the car sounds like they took a small sample of the cars audio and stretch it as the rpm's go up. In this it actually sounds like a real car instead of the crap in every other racer.

I've played all the way through Champion Career and have everything unlocked. Just a word of advice, you do NOT need to complete the SuperRally Career. It doesnt unlock anything for you. If you've gone through Pro and Champion you'll have everything buyt skins unlocked. The skins get unlocked as you get miles on that specific car.

Also, just wanted to add, I am ranked #26 out of approximately 9200 users. COME AND GET ME!!!! When I say ranked, I mean in toal race points. Race points are handed out based on your overall time on a track. I've seen up to around 1,300 points given for the top racer on a given track. Once you run every track you should have anywhere from 60,000-100,000 overal race points. The top guys have around 105,000. I have somewhere around 93,000.

For those that havent yet, Get in the game guys!!! Its awesome!!

In my opinion its more fun than PGR2 but its a whole different kind of racing experience! Rally vs. Street Racing *g*

    Great grafics and speed feeling!!!

Shannon, you can race the time trials to set your times and receive points. But you have to be sure you are racing with Xbox Live Rules on. The Xbox Live symbol in the upper right will be green. You will receive points playing multiplayer as well, but remember only your best time gets you points. You dont recieve them each time you race. ALSO, partcipating in an XSN event does not count towards the leaderboads.

PGR2 and RC2 are to totally different games to even try to compare. To each his own. I have both and enjoy playing them. If I want some offroad action, I'll pop in RC2, or if I just want some asphalt speed, in goes PGR2. Both games are top notch!!

well you can unlock skins, i think cougar was saying thats based on how many miles you drive in a car, you can adjust your steering tightness, gear ratio (like the first one), you can adjust about 10 other items such as spring stiffness, etc.... that i really dont have any idea how to use.

Some of the most difficult races are night races on snow covered roads. Its very realistic, if your headlights don't light it up, it doesn't get shown. Makes them the hardest, more so than mud tracks.

you'll be soiling your undees with this one then. The environments are to die for and the new damage models are pretty sweet as well. Theres something like 90 tracks and around 40 different cars i think. I'd have to verify, but that sounds about right.

I'm playing through RSC1 right now. I originally bought it when it first came out, played about 2/3 of it (until it started to get too hard for me, or I started to get tired of it, I can't remember), then sold it. I recently picked up a new copy for $15 ... what a steal: this game is a lot better than I remember. Either I've gotten better at racing games, or I've begun to appreciate the good ones more. I have no patience (or skill, either) for the Toca's and PGR2's of the world, but give me a good arcade racer and I'm set.

Anyhow, new appreciation for RSC1. If RSC2 is an improvement, I'll definitely be buying it.
