Default ESPN NHL and NBA 2K5 also for $19.99?

Gamespot and EBgames seem to think it's pretty likely.

Do you guys think EA will ever respond by lowering its prices to compete?

I wonder if they'll be losing money by doing this. It'd be great if these games did REALLY well and other companies started dropping prices!

No they haven't. As the article I linked to points out, the price for other ESPN sports games has not yet been confirmed.

Sounds awsome to me! That's the way it should be, I think ESPN took note of that, paying 50 bucks each year for almost the same game is ubsurd.

Try under a dollar. Manual & case maybe another $1.50
    Probably about $2.00
They don't make there money by selling the discs, that's old school thinking, back to the cartridge days. They're selling the software. But you figure the Hours of Audio (Presented in Dolby Digital which I thought was sweet) & all of the stats & everything else, the only way they will make money is with volume sells.
Maybe that's why they dropped their price!
As far as NHL goes, I doubt they'll drop the price of that one. Too many people bought that because no one's brainwashed like they are when it comes to football - pertaining to Hockey - if that makes any sense.

Casba, I thought that too, apparently I read it wrong on Gamespot. But hey, oh well.

It does cost less than $5 / per copy of a game, but you gotta think, how did the paychecks go to those people who helped make the game? I'm sure in the end they will lose money on certain games being $20, unless they sold, lets say a million copies, and as of now, I highly doubt any sports game by SEGA/VC would sell less than a million at $20.
