You can have up to four on each XBox...this won't slow down the connection while playing on GameSpy.

The host of the game is the one you are connected to. This goes on a per XBox basis...not how many players. The lower the ping, the better...that way it prevents lag from occuring. My first day, I was so lucky to run into a dude that was using an OC-3 connection...which is a huge pipe! No lag...and everyone, including myself, had four people on each XBox! We had 16 people shedding blood all over the place...it was very memorable! The host must have been at a company or something to have a sweet connection like that.

But, a typical game can have around six dudes going at it at one time....six is also very fun...eight is great, though!

I hosted a game last night and I had six total people...it was fun....Sidewinder Snipers with all vehicles...and everyone had an awesome ping rate (very low pings)...so, the game was so smooth, it made a baby's ass feel like sandpaper
