Ok about a week ago I took my Xbox over to a party. While there one of my friends notices that my menu moves in a sort of floating manner as if it were meant to do so. What does it mean??!! It's still moving!!

It's supposed to do that to prevent phosphorus burn in on your TV screen. Much like how the back ground 3D image slowly rotates.
There was a button you can press to stop it, but then it starts up again.
After a few minutes the screen dims completey assuming you activated that mode in the options screen. But even when it's dim, it'll still rotate and move around.

its normal
None of my other friends Xboxs does that and mine does it the moment you turn it on and never stops. Thanx anyway.

Well, the Halo Edition one that I have does it.
My first run version (day 1) Xbox had the moving background, but I don't recall if the menu moved though.
mine dosent move, but it dose dim.
I believe you hit X and then Y to start it to move - it's only availible on the v2.0 dashboards and up - so if they never got the update on XBL, then they're SOL pal.
Strange...I never payed attention to it really. Now that I think of it it does move, though.
Yeah, but those little weird sounds the TV makes while you're in the dashboard are the coolest.
My launch has never done that, and neither has my Crystal done that.
I never understood what the noises are for or what they are. Some of it sounds like it could be japanese, and others sounds like whispering. Some what creepy.

-It's a Canadian thing-
I've heard the noises to. Their strange. Like a robot or something. Do you think there could be some hidden message behind it or is it just a cool gimick.

i think you can hold down like x and l it's a two button combination that turns the moving xbox live menu on or off.

I was at that party what's up Ja-ja-ja-ja-jamo?!
When you're alarm goes off in the morning, do a backflip straight out of bed without even sitting up, do some pushups while dodging bullets in slow motion, then do a cartwheel into your car while spinning a CD on the tip of your finger ... now you're a unique individual.
Yeah, there's some sort of button combonation that changes it, it was posted on XBA like 2 years ago. Unfortunetly I forget what it is...
live 2.0 hasn't been out two years. Or at least I thought he was talking about the menu where your friends list and all that is.Originally Posted by LTM360
