Default Mad Catz Advanced Control Pad

    Hi,

I have a question about this product:
    http://www.xboxaddict.com/products/p...Product_ID=182
I'm in a wheelchair, I have a spinal cord injury and can't use normal gamepads because I can't use the triggers right.
So I'm wondering if I can program the left and right triggers under the white and black button? I can't read nowhere if this is possible. So maybe someone can help me with this issue.

    Greetings Alex.

Although I don't know anything about the controller in particular, the only advice I can give as far as avioding triggers go, is going in the actual game and changing the controls. For example, in ESPN NBA 2K5 you can change the controls to where triggers are practically useless. You didn't say if you've tried that or not, so if you have sorry.

Enjoy your stay here at XBA.

i doubt that you can actually program the triggers to not be used. BUT on some games you can program the buttons how you want. some games are more custom than others, take UC for instance, you can change the buttons to whatever you want. where on halo you can choose different control schemes where the buttons are changed around. you should go into the options and fiddle around and see if they have a control setup that works for you.

    welcome to xba.

    Hey,

Thanks for replying. But in many games you can't configure the settings like I want it.
And with Fifa 2005 you can't program anything at all.
So I'm hoping one of the controllers are fully programmable including the triggers.
I've searched on these, but don't know if they can:

I am not sure if this is a good candidate ... but the Soul Calibur 2 arcade stick has the triggers as buttons ...

*edited to correct the fact that the triggers were mapped to buttons*

No, that are the triggers. That I already have on my arcade stick.

I got a e-mail that the thrustmaster gamepad does have the possibility to use other buttons for the triggers. I hope that the others also has this option.

i'll search around and see if i can find a controller like you're looking for.

you could also go to the forums at teamxbox.com and ask there, too. more people post there, so there's a good chance that a member there might know of something that we do not.
