I just got a call from a friend of mine. I'm not sure if it's a computer glitch or a legit sale- the register jockey didn't seem too surprised when he rung me up.

The stipulations (as far as I know it) is you need an even amount of games (2, 4, 6, 8, etc) and the titles have to be $19.99. It doesn't matter if they're Platinum Hits, or just retail for $19.99. They have to be $20 games.

When they are rung up and totaled, the games pair up and get a promotional discount- so as far as I know you have to buy the games in even amounts like I mentioned earlier- if you only want one game, you have to find another $19.99 game for the promotion to work.

I picked up:

Outlaw Golf 2 - $4.99
Atari Anthology - $4.99
Super Bust-A-Move - $4.99
Top Spin - $4.99

Total ($19.96 = tax)

I didn't really see anything else I wanted.

I'm gonna try and get some games tomorrow but I doubt my store will give 'em to me at 4.99$.

Chances are this isn't going to be the same at every CC. Periodically regions become overstocked on discontinued games and drop the prices ridiculously low to clear them out. When I worked there I bought a few games for as little as .50 cents. Never hurts to check though.

This happened a while ago.. I think Yankeez posted it. But you didn't have to buy in pairs or anything like that. Guess the only way to know is go try and get just one.
Any 20 dollar game was only 5 bucks. I went to CC and the empolyees didn't know about it.

What I don't understand is if it is because of overstock, and it's to get rid of the overstock why the heck don't they mark them that price in store.

I guess with the internet spreading this info like a virus they don't really need to lol
