The Dreaded Red

Yea... so I get the dreaded red flashing when I try to turn on my Xbox. This is kinda strange seeing how I was playing on it just an hour or 2 ago. The number in the top right is 12 so according to llama.com it's DVD related. I've got a Phillips DVD. The warranty is already expired so I open it up. I didn't have the right torx to get under the DVD to check out the IDE connection and such. So I may be going out to get some tools to handle this baby. Anyone else have this type of problem?? Or to those gurus out there, what should I do?

I seem to have the worst luck ever... I'm about to get my old account back from its suspension and my Xbox craps out on me.

I got the red light once and that was when I got the AV cables mixed up. I just shut it off and fixed the cables. Remeber Red goes into red socket and so on.
