i got a good computer a couple of months ago... heres the specs:

P4 3.6ghz
ATI x800xt graphics
1 gb ram
and lots of games!!!

I'll buy the next Nintendo console simply for first-party games. I'll most likely buy Xbox2 and PS3 as well.

i too will eventually get them all.... but tech specs are what is to attract me to my first next gen console.... and i believe xbox will again be the best console *technically anyway* IN THE NEXT ROUND as it has been in this one

Price matters along with the tech specs... I wont buy a "300" dollar nintendo if its got the same performance as the last.

Yeah it's definitely the games for me too.

I have a (stupid) DELL PC I bought a year ago for $1200.
For that amount of dough, knowing what I know now, I coulda
had a real nice gaming machine built.

So I D/L the PC demo for Republic Commando and it won't run because
of the pixel shader thing.

I absolutely refuse to start the PC upgrade upgrade upgrade.
I'm getting an Xbox and will get the Xenon when it's released.

Hopefully I'll buy an Xbox by the end of the month.

Any thoughts on buying a Refurbished Xbox at EB?

The first console I buy depends on which has the RPGs which is usually Sony, and then I get whatever else afterwards

I'll wait a year and see what games come out for XBox 360 (A.K.A. SpinBox) and PS3. I ended on a good note with Nintendo as the N64 was my last Nintendo console and I intend on keeping it that way.

As Rhiannon said. All of the choices are important. I cannot say 'Games' is the most important because if that were the case I wouldn't have an Xbox to being with, I would've gone PS2 from the start. I'm going with 'Specs' as I did last time. Because look at Xbox now, it's amazing now that PS2 is becomming garbage in terms of capability (not that PS2 can do that much more than Dreamcast could've but I'll leave that for another topic). Whichever has the highest specs will be the system I choose from the start. Although in the end; I'll likely end up with all 3 consoles.
