WTF are you talking about. Your asking if crouching is necessary in Halo2 Single Player? Well, think of it this way. If it wasn't there we would all probably complain.
CHill out qu33r. I played it on Legendary and they always knew were I was even when crouched.
Friendly Tip: Be a combo whore in places with lots of elites. Watch out for the jackal snipers
yeah, im nearly finished the game in legendary!! i crouch, i think it makes a difference.. but its just force of habit from multiplayer
I Dont Think It Causes Anything Because They Arent Real Players So They Dont Have Radar Motion Censors So Dont Crouch It Just Wastes Time Yu Go Slowrr And It's Easier To Get Killed especially for The "Jackal Snipers".

Yeah stone, in cairo station I combo whored it up so much.
If I recalled.. I can be wrong.. you don't make a sound when you crouch walk / crawl. When you walk, your footsteps can be heard.
I remember reading that the enemy's AI can detect the sounds of footsteps and follow it.
