ok im trying to hook x-box live up through my pc, i have a wireless internet connection and a crossover cable, i dont have a router which to hook it up through to my pc, is there any way i can just hook up my xbox directly to my pc without the need of a router?

yep there is its the way that i connect to xbox live, since i have a wireless router...

first you will need to connect your xbox to your pc using an ethernet cable... then you will need to configure your 'interenet connection sharing'

to do this just go to network connections, and right click on your internet connection, then go to properties and then advanced i think... select 'allow other users to connect through this computers internet connection'

now you may have to click settings to find your xbox, and click the box to allow it to connect... so turn your xbox on, and see if it appears in the settings, in ADVANCED
