    Default UFC-Tapout is Sweet!!

    I like it!!

The game allows you to create a fighter: the height, weight, trunks, color, style, and special fighting strengths are all options. If you create a guy who is a wrestler and submission specialist then the ground fighting is where you want to be. The moves and countermoves are very intuitive. It took me about an hour to get the hang of it. Also, you can create a guy who is a kickboxing stylist, however, you obviously want to approach the fight differently. Stay on the outside and pummel your opponent. If you are caught in a clinch and end-up in a ground fight this kickboxer guy is doomed because he doesn't have the skills to counter . . . tap out! Woo hoo!! Did i mention blood! You can adjust the blood level from no blood to all blood all the time. :-) The matches are pretty short but overall I am digging it.

Smile I am posting this if you didn't see this news on the main page.

Crave Entertainment today announced that Ultimate Fighting Championship: Tapout for the Xbox video game system from Microsoft shipped.UFC: Tapout captures the leading fighters in the world of mixed martial arts, putting them head to head in a simulation of the real-life Ultimate Fighting Championship pay-per-view event.

"Not only does UFC: Tapout beautifully represent the incredible graphic power of the Xbox, but the fighting action is equally intense," said Craig Owens, Senior Group Marketing Manager at Crave Entertainment. "With Tapout, we've taken the full contact combat of the UFC and enhanced the gameplay with a deeper Create-a-Fighter mode and an Arcade Mode that lasts for hours with lots of hidden fighters to unlock."

UFC: Tapout features new modes, new moves, and new fighters, bringing the gaming experience closer to the intense reality of the sport. Packed with a full roster of the world's most accomplished athletes, the game features some of the UFC's classic brawlers and current champions, including UFC light heavyweight world champion Tito Ortiz and lightweight champion Jens Pulver.

Offering more full contact fighting than any game ever created, UFC: Tapout recreates music, sound and visuals on par with actual UFC telecasts. Small details combine for a big difference as the technology of the Xbox makes it possible to see every detail, even down to perfectly replicated fighter tattoos. High-resolution renderings of the fighters, accurate representations of the arenas, and high-energy fighter entrances accurately capture the in-your-face, aggressive feel of the sport with jaw-dropping realism.

In the new Arcade mode, players go head-to-head against fighter after fighter, wielding either their own custom-made brawler or one of 27 UFC competitors. UFC: Tapout also offers a Versus mode, a Tournament mode for up to eight players, and an in-depth Create-a-Fighter mode with more than 1,000 variations to choose from.

Thats only cause you sucked. When i played against people who knew how to play, alot of the matches would last all 3 rounds. Granted, many matches ended within the first round. But most lasted till the 3rd.

Thank you to Caged Soul for the Sig! Hidden Content

UFC Tapout is a very cool and fun game. As with alot of fighting games I play, the competition becomes repetitive but it has yet to be any where near repetitive so far. I'm off to conquer the game on champion in all classes with all fighters in each class. The graphics alone can sell this game, everything down to individual muscle movements, and YES i said you can see individual muscle movements on the characters it's that detailed. The sound i don't think is as good as the dreamcast's was. The sound is a little annoying on the waiting to fight screen. I don't think that the fights end nearly as fast as on the dreamcast. If you fight smart instead of trying to repeatedly press buttons you can drag a GOOD fight a long ways. My only gripe however is the lack of more modes. I mean the modes they have are just basically fight one on one or fight ina tourney. I would have liked to have seen like a season deal, where you can have multiple UFC championships in the year instead of beating the UFC mode and that's it. I would have liked to have seen it keep up with Win/Loss/championship records and have maybe 10 tourneys in a season.

Going far beyond the scope of this game, i would like to also see a UFC game that allows you to play a kind of career mode that keeps track of different stats as well as make you build up your character by training and such.

Once you get the hang of the combos and stop button mashing your matches will go past round 1. Did you try programing the combos into the triggers and white/black buttons? It does help. Not to mention beating the snot out of Ice-T in match 16 in arcade mode.

Programming the trigger buttons for combo moves is a must. I ran off 24 straight wins and beat the snot out of Ice T along the way. This is such a cool game. I havent finished Silent Hill 2 the second time around since I picked-up UFC.

Are there other players to unlock other than the Cat, Femme Fatale and Ice T?

I rented Tapout and I like it. It seems theres something missing though. Maybe a deeper CAF. I decided to wait for Knockout Kings.
