Confirmed: 8-players only for COD:2 XBL play

This seriously prevents this from being my sole killer app for XBL. Gamespot did a review giving it an 8.8 but it really pisses me off it started off at 32 players online like the PC version, then dropped to 16, then 8 but they hoped to have it higher before launch, and then stuck at 8. Why not get it for PC instead now? 32+ players, no doubt an expansion will be avaliable, and of course mods. Still will be a good rental to go through the single-player campaign though. Hopefully the verdict on PD0 will be just as good as Kameo's thus far.

I'm finished with the Russian campaign, and nearly done with the British. This is a fun game offline. Can't wait to get online with it.

I played a bit of the XBox2 version at Best Buy and was impressed with how close the graphics come to what I'm seeing at home. It will be another year at least before average PC's outstrip consoles again.

I'll probably still have fun with it, but HQ sounds a lot less enticing with 8 players, not to mention 8 player clan matches sound kind of weak. Maybe there'll be a patch to up the amount like with Battlefront?

Well I wasn't going to get it anyway.. the campaign is exactly the same as the PC version by the looks of all the screenshots... and I got the PC version so there is really no point. It is very fun though. Great atmosphere.

Maybe a download later will bring it up from 8 to atleast 16. But I will hold off on this game till then.

Well, the game can be pretty tactical if you want to play it that way. Almost like GR, which would suck w/ 32 or some people.
