I camped 17 hours - I got my XBox 360...

I don't think anyone is going to have to wait until March to get a 360! I just missed getting one because I didn't want to wait in line at BB or anywhere and target,BB, Compusa etc were all sold out. I saw a retailer on ign forums mention MS will be releasing additional units by Friday probably. They only released .5 mil today he said. And MS said they have a target of 3MiL install base by the end of this year which would indicate they'll be releasing that many by then. I sure hope so!

I'm bummed but I can wait since I had just upgraded my PC's graphics card and bought Most Wanted. Also, you should just chug down a monster (Seeing as you work for em) and get to checking it out! I just drank a coffee and am going to have a bawls and play most wanted. Enjoy

How do you wait 17 hours before the store opens? Our Targets close at 10pm and open at 8am. That's only 10 hours. So you were just sitting outside in the middle of the afternoon? That doesnt make any sense.

Hmm 17 hour camp outs sound fun and all...but I couldnt do that. I have 2 plans for the 2nd Dec Launch here.

1) The Tesco Supermarket just around the corner to me arent doing pre-orders, seeing as they are open 24/7, they will just simply start selling them at 12 if people want them. Il go there around 11ish just in case there is a line and pick one up, I should be home by like 12:30.

OR

2) I will have to put up with the hour drive to the store that will have my pre-ordered backup waiting.

Either way im sure I will manage to get hold of a premium system on launch.

Definately! It was great seeing people walk up and seeing all of us out there...and seeing their faces that they didn't have a chance to get one! It was priceless and never got boring

Also, there was some ass clown that drove by at 1:00am with his XBox 360 that he got from a local Best Buy just to rub it in people's faces 7 hours before we could get ours...I personally found it pretty damn hilarious because I'm the type to do the same thing!

Well I went to a Blockbuster around here just a couple hours ago and they said they only sold 4 of the 10 Xbox 360's they had gotten. If I wanted one I could get one right now with no wait but I don't want one right now.
