Talked to my buddy at my local gamestop today and he told me this week thier whole company is only gettin 1,000 xbox 360 .... let me repeat that this week thier whole company is only gettin 1,000 xbox 360 and they have 4,000 stores or something like that. Of course mine isn't getting any. That freaking weak if you ask me, Microsoft is really sucking with these shipments. So much for the whole theory xboxs will ship every week... i wouldn't be suprise if best buy keeps getting seems like they have a little deal going on or something(zero hour example). But thats my rant lol... and yes I haven't posted in ages I know but I also come in and read up on stuff. Later!

this really does suck with this whole "shortage" thing. i don't know what the heck microsoft is doing. THey said they wanted to get as many Xbox 360s out before PS3 comes and they start off like this...

Noone knows exact figures. Estimates are from 700k to 900k units for North America.

Most stores still don't know when or how many they'll be receiving in the coming shipments.

There's no conspiracy here. Sure, Microsoft is slow, but I doubt this is intentional. If anything, they're working harder than usual to get these out. After all, their fiscal quarter (and perhaps year) ends December 31, so if they want to pad their Xbox360 sales and their overall numbers for this year, then they'll be coming out.
