Whats so special or good about this game, is it just like DOA3 & like all other fighting games or does it have something thats makes it unique from other fighting games?
I wanna know cause I never played this game & it seems alot of people are waiting for it.
Its obvious you never played Soul calibur on the DC.Originally posted by SnOoPy

No its not like DOA3 or any fighting game. What makes it unique is the level of skill you can achieve while playing this game. You can start as a novice and enjoy yourself, but later you can take it to whole new worlds of fighting. There is nothing like a tight soul calibur match with great players. You will often find matches ending with guard impact (kinda like counters, But they can be countered themsleves ) duels of epic proportions.
Soul calibur, Hands down the greatest fighter ever. PERIOD!

Than, I never played the DC version. Never had a DC system (bought a N64 instead. what a mistake I did ) Game sounds good, gonna buy it when its release.
Thanx again for the info.
Hey JJax when Soul calibur 2 comes out for the xbox will it have that 3D effect I really like DOA3 for have that it is cool.
Oh yeah! SC was/is a great game, even today. I wonder how long it will be after it hits the arcades that we'll see it on our beloved box?
Tekken, Street Fighter, Killer Instinct- they are ALL the same way. Maybe it's a tad easier to become proficient in SC than SF, KI, or Tekken 4, but all of them have a degree of professional tactics (NOT guard impacts, but parries, unblockableOriginally posted by JJaX

setups, spacial training, psychic sidesteps and priority counters).
These are all in every fighter- you just have to excell in all these skills. The hardest I've found to master was Samurai Shodown 4; it's combo system is the most unorthodox creature I've ever seen. But yes, SCII WILL be good, but it's a shame unblockables were done in as opposed to "super combos" included in Soul Edge 3. Maybe the weight transfer reversals and movement attacks will make up for that...
BTW, SCII hits all consoles in August (Japan), and probably on US shores in September/October.

Well Soul calibur by far pulls of 3d fighting the best.
The '8-way run' is so simple to use and offers a variety of tactics and moves.
