my xbox suddenly stopped responding. it been 3 months now and i am about to take the harddrive out and put it in the computer

Go ahead and put it in your computer, I bet you it won't work I know its again'st the rules, but what the hell... In order for your computer to recognize the HDD, you need to "unlock" it with a softmod or modchip ( like I did). If you tell me what stopped responding, I will help you.
