I think the list is ok. I just shows that a game doesn't have to get rave reviews for players to like it. IGN's top list was a bit too by the numbers when it was from the editors

What about where Splinte Cell is on the list? Too low in my opinion simply because of the reviews it got, it's comparison to Metal Gear, and it's uniqueness.

You know I'm the wrong person to ask about splinter cell... personally I hate pretty much any game with the Tom Clancy name on it. Kind of translates over as big boring piece of crap with bad enemy AI to me. I'm a confuse on how MGS 3 was in the top 10.. that game was awful...played it for 10 minutes and took it back...reminded me of Superman 64
    It belongs on this list

although I'm proud a Zelda game took it... the original Zelda is #1 of all-time, it started RPG, it started fun.. they have 3 sequels ahead of it though.. so good for Zelda series.

I used to post here a lot.

i would agree with a lot of them, but i also havent played a lot of them. no surprise with Zelda and Halo being better than its "sequel."

    Perfect Dark > Goldeneye
First Zelda > Ocarina of Time (allthough I think Ocarina of Time would be a great second)
Mario 64 should be number 3.

It was an alright list, but they didn't even have Morrowind on there! Come on! That was one of the greatest RPG's of all time, definitaly better than Oblivion.

But what was so good about it? Why does it always get number one consideration?

i guess because it was so revolutionary for it's time. it paved the way for so many RPG's after it.

    BLASPHEMY!!!!!!

I agree with the list for the most part, although I believe MGS 2 is better than 3....but they're all awesome in my eyes....I also think that FFVII was better than III

Golden Eye should be a few spots higher, probably in place of RE4 (although I really do love that game)

I never got into the Metal Gear Solid (or even the Splinter Cell) series, even though both were games that I really wanted to like. This is especially true for SC, I loved the concept, gameplay, story, but I got turned away from it once I got to the Oil Refinery level, it got to chaotic towards the end for what I thought was a stealth game.

However, I can obviously see why these are both great games, so I can't give them a bad review or say that they shouldn't be on the list.

Zelda always gets #1 nods because it is the greatest series ever made! Everything about the series is great. It's always innovative. It always has the most memorable musical score. It has the most interesting characters and the story telling elements are untouchable by almost any other game. I wouldn't even be surprised if 1 and 2 was Ocarina of Time and Link to the Past.
