Default which bioshock plate is more rare?

Ive seen two versions of the plate, both with a rusty wear look, one has a pic of a big daddy on it, the other just has the bioshock logo right above the power button, which is more rare?

I'm not sure which is more rare, but I know which one is harder to get.

The Big Daddy Bioshock plate was a gift for Gamestop managers. They are numbered out of 5,000 made. They came in a kit, and prices hovered round $100 for a long time.

The Concrete Bioshock plate was either available at retail in the UK, or was a gift with preorder. Most people didn't know about this plate because it only showed up on eBay if you did an advanced search and included other countries, which most eBay shoppers don't do. In many cases, a special request to ship to the US was required as the UK buyers don't sell to the US as readily as the Asian sellers do. They could be had for retail pricing ($20 US) plus international shipping.

So, even if they were produced in the same quantities, the Big Daddy was numbered and only given to certain people where the UK version was available to the masses, and could be had for a more reasonable amount of money.

I agree, I feel that the Bioshock set is definetly more rare than the UK one. However I like the UK one a whole lot better than the one that comes in the set. Having bought the UK faceplate first I have to admit that I was a little dissappointed with the US one when I got it. It just doesn't look as nice. If you only really wanted to by one I would go with the rusted looking one even though it is far more common than the collectors set.

Also be careful of sellers lying about the condition of the collectors set one if you plan on bidding on one. I have bought TWO sets and neither of them have been in the condition I was told they were. They were both supposed to be in mint/pristine conditon, great for collectors. The first one I got there was a defect on the faceplate and the box looked like somebody had stepped on it. It was all flattened and ripped down the center and didn't close because it was missing one of the box flaps. The sellers only response was basicially oops my bad sorry I didn't tell you about the box. So I decided to try my luck again but this time I asked the seller all kinds of questions about the condition of the faceplate and the box. I was assured all was good. This one did turn out better than the last but this box was missing BOTH side flaps so the front flap is always sticking out. After that I just gave up. I will keep what I have and try to be happy with it

I think US version of Bioshock faceplate is overrated. I passed on 2-3 opportunities to buy one of those under $50. Now I think I could make some money out of those. Anyway I won't be adding it to my collection. Even if I get one, it goes for sale.
