I saw this earlier today and thought it was a pretty good article. Obviously its not as comprehensive as it could be, but its good for a new collector. Enjoy!

Interesting article. I've never paid much attention to the craftsmanship of my faceplates - unless it's broken. Good little read.

Ive noticed that some are better than others... like the white tsz plates and saints row plates are nowhere near as durable as microsoft plates. Some chinese import plates arent very good quality, but then there are others i have that are very sturdy.

ya also some of the images on the rarer ones are like vacumed sealed on or something with excess image over the top and bottom when cheap ones are just printed on to the faceplate, also did anyone realize that they only used cheap stupid, and ugly faceplate's, they should have gotten at least one rare one.
