Default Xbox Live Connection Problem, Please Help :(

hi all, would really appreciate it if anyone could diagnose this problem i have connecting to my xbox live recently.
i have been an xbox live member for several months and never had a problem but all of a sudden i cannot connect to xbox live and it says 'connection failed'. (iv played online nearly everyday and never had a problem until now.)

iv tried all my network settings and they all pass the diagnostics except for the 'Xbox Live' as it comes up with the message 'failed'

The IP Address, DNS, MTU, ICMP all pass but it fails on the xbox live.
all my xbox live membership and details are only several months old and i have a subcription with atleast another 9 months on.

iv tried absolutely everything, n my last effort is this as i have run out of ideas, jus wondering if anyone else has come across this problem.
    would fully appreciate any help,
    thanks

if you connect the box directly to the modem, can it pick up the connection?

Call XBL Support. Best chances they will guide you through whats going on and reverify your account info.

Yea, if your directly to the modem and havn't moved things around, I can't think of anything off the top of my head other than a faulty wire. Call support though, see what they say and get back to us.

Hello, first I would plug your modem out for 30 seconds than plug it back into the console then next you Test your media and Xbox live connection and if that does not work then call the Xbox number. Thanks!
