    Default XBox 1 Faceplates

    Hi everyone,

I was down in the bat cave and came across two unique items I own from the first Xbox days. They appear to be official Microsoft XBox 1 faceplates. They are numbered 2 and 4. I know very little about them other than they are very hard to come by which is why I snatched up the 2nd one when I had the chance. I'm assuming that there are at least 4 variants just due to the numbering on the boxes. Do any of you have any information on these XB1 plates? Do any of you own some of these XB1 plates. And most importantly... if you have plates I don't, would you be willing to sell? Here are pix of my 2 plates. Enjoy!

    Default More info?

I googled the e-mail address and came up with one hit:

    http://translate.google.com/translat....com%26hl%3Den

It's a press release from 2003 at the official Microsoft Xbox Japan site. I think the plates were part of a contest or special promotion maybe.

Dude, if you can track those down, I'm going to recommend you as a replacement for Sherlock Holmes.

Pix are back up - had an issue with my hosting service earlier today. Here are some more from the net:

Looks like there were 2000 total produced. Here is an article on the set:

If they really did make 2000 of them, it shouldn't be impossible to get a set. Tough, yeah, but not like if they were one-offs.
