    Faceplate graveyard.



    Most of those are salvageable in some fashion, I can use the doors, the buttons, use to test paint ops, etc. I have four others on the wall that I just need to toss and haven't done it.

    That crackling on the surface is because the paint below is still gassing out and pushing through the paint above, making it break apart and leave a crackled surface. This hasnt happened to me on a faceplate yet but on model cars its a *****h. So ususally if your pacient (which i find very hard) this paint cracking dosnt happen.

    Yeah, I specifically buy fast-cure paints for the simple fact that I know I'm not patient enough to put all the tiny thin layers I should have into the plate.
