Just rented it from gamefly.
Yes I know im 3 months late. I really like this game, but now its starting to get repatitive, big time.
For anyone thats played it, is it worth suffering for the ending?
I hate "rinse and repeat" in games.

Yeah, welcome to Assassin's Creed. Lol. It's a game that you mostly love, but like GTA 4, it can get VERY repetitive after awhile. So you are not alone in your opinion.
Is it worth playing 'till the end? I personally thought it was. The story isn't too bad and some of the achievements are kind of fun to go for, if you are into that kind of thing. I would definitely stay away from going for all the flags that the game has in it. After attempting that for about 10 min., I wanted to give myself a lobotomy.
The way I handled it was I would never play the game for long lengths of time without taking a break. I would then come back to it for an hour or two a day and I had fun with it. I don't think it lived up to the hype it got, but I still think it's worth owning. Like I said, it reminds me of GTA 4 in that way.
Thanks! I gave up on the flags within 10 min...lol
I started to save everyone, but that got to be too much.
So i am doing the missions. Ill stick with it and see how it ends.
I am fascinated by the rendering of the old cities. I try to picture what life was like back then.
yeah you will find it to be a bit repetative but fun... I have to agree w/ the flags as I've just not got the patience to look. Maybe one day I'll get a map of all the locations and work my way around to find all the ones I missed on my playthrough.... I got lucky w/ this game as a friend played through it and then Gave me the game for my collection...
I've still yet to beat this. Its great for picking up now and then, doing a few missions here and there, but I find I cant sit down and put a lot of hours into it at a time.

I really liked the game. I peronsally don't mind any repetetive games. I played GTA IV from launch and played for a week(in between school and after school) just to beat it. And I still love it. Lol But yes it is very worth it
Just in case you needed visual aide.......

it's hard to hate Assassin's Creed when this woman is the one who produced the game.![]()
oh dear.... SHE PRODUCED ASSASSINS CREED??? woh! I love the game all that much more
Yeah she is from Canada and is 32 yrs. old. (same age as me and I am from MN, hrm......um no. I'll keep dreamin'. lol) She is also the host of Electric Playground, which I have never seen.
My favorite part, she is smart as hell too! She graduated with a bachelor's degree in computer science. She worked for IBM, Microsoft, Sony, and EA. She was the producer on 'The Sims Online' game. And then she did 'Assassin's Creed', which is obviously for UbiSoft. Wow, talk about making the rounds to all the big companies. Lol.
She has also been the victim of an satirical 'adult' comic in which she performs sexual acts in promotion of 'Assassin's Creed'. The comic was apparently made because people have thought that UbiSoft exploited her looks to sell more games. Here is a link explaining the story: http://blog.gameshadow.com/?p=58
And just for fun, one more pic. before I stop talking about this woman since I am starting sound her biographer. Lol.

For me the game never got repetitive until after i beat it and started going for the flags, then I decided to give up on it. I actually did all the missions for each enemy and rescued all the citizens in every city along the way and I never got tired of it. I even found all the viewpoints along the way. So if you do everything you get like 860 gamerscore from it. The last 140 are all the flags which would take forever. But it really is a great game.
