I've been meaning to do this for a while, just never got around to it, so here it is. My small humble collection.
Yes, That is real carbon fiber. Can any body do Kevlar? I want a silver Kevlar plate too.

Not that thick, maybe a few centimeters thicker than normal, The doors and tray are a little recessed, nothing to bad. I love, won't be changing plates for a long time.

Nice start you've got Wicked.. I do like the CF plate and I've been watching the guy that sells them that you got yours from on Ebay. thanks for sharing man

do you realize how big a centimeter is? because its about as thick as the faceplate alone so if its a couple i am scared of that faceplate

The Microsoft one it just printed with the carbon fiber woven design. It's not really carbon fiber. This plate actually has a thin layer of carbon fiber mesh attached to the plate, and then sealed over with a coat of clear coat. Carbon Fiber mesh is like a think knit fabric that is super strong. It only adds a couple of millimeters to the thickness of the plate.

Got a couple of new plates over the past couple of weeks. Been busy moving, couldn't find camera. Here ya go.
1. Spacey's Chevelle custom he did for me. I love this one. My goal is to get it autographed.


2. The Limited Edition, Flightstick bundle Ace Combat 6 plate. Been trying for this one for a long time now. Got it in a 2 plate deal, at a steal too. Now I have all 6.

Here ya go Spacy. Finally, after months, I took a pic. I don't have access to photobucket here at work, so I will try to upload it to an actual site soon.

I know I was supossed to hook you up with one, but this is the only one that came out. All the others have nicks in the paint, stuff stuck to them, or runs. I have enought to do a couple of more, and I now have a controlled enviroment to paint in, so I might try again in a week or so. I plan on doing a controller.

Don't stress it, man. My "faceplates to add to the database" folder is slowly filling up again. Probably have to get past Father's Day weekend, then I'll add some more plates to it.
