My Xbox Freezing

my Xbox keeps on freezing when im playing it. i dont know whats wrong. it works fine till i get about 3 minutes into the game.

i dont have any red rings or anything. it just freezes up and i have to restart it. its really frustrating b/c i cant play it.

anyone else have this problem? can you help?

Does it happen at the same point in the game every time? That was happening to me because my disk was so scratched it wouldn't play, just froze. It got irritating. Sorry This isn't much help. Maybe try cleaning the disk. You never know.

i have tried cleaning it. and its not just one game, its all my games. i dont know if its over heating or what.

Sounds like the CD Rom drive is going bad or in some cases the beginning of the end. I had one 360 that was doing that and ended up with the RROD. Sounds like the inevitable if happening on all games. Probably have to call the good ole 1-800-4-myxbox.. Best of luck

Red Ring Of Dead it's what the 360 are known best for if it gets that it need to go in for service. Hope it's not the case but best of luck with it.

But do you know if i will be having to get a whole new xbox if its the CD ROM drive?

Sometimes you send it in and they just replace the drive and other times they send out a refurbished console, just depends. I would think if it's the drive they'll just replace it but who knows. Didn;t happen to get it with an extended warranty from a local retailer did you so you might be able to just take it back for an exchange??? just a thought..

well Walmart you would have needed to purchase the extended warranty which would cover to get it fixed fif not covered by MS..
