I made it to level 13 and so far without any glitches and now it freezes up almost immed EVERY time i try to play. Installed it on my HDD, didnt help. Any sugesstions?

Try clearing the cache on the HDD? I dunno what else I would suggest.

Go to the system blade and then select memory.

Press Y on the HD symbol and then press X,X,Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X,X. Once you do this a messsage will appear saying: Do you want to perform maintenance on your Xbox 360 storage devices?

Performing this function will also clear any software updates. You will have to repatch.

I had a weird glitch once that froze my game after i shot a certain amount of railway spikes, so now i just cant use that gun

try and see if there is anything you do prior to the freeze to see if its a bug with something your doing?

its sucky i know but it happens. =[

are you connected to xbl?
You might need an update, I glitched and/or froze a lot before I got the update.
Just a thought, good luck !
