Are these to design a proper plastic (or whatever material faceplates are made of) or just a sticker to place over an existing faceplate?

This service allows you to create custom faceplates based on your own design. It is not a sticker. They produce high gloss, professional looking plates.

You can definitely use them on your 360. It is the same quality as you would get with a pre-order faceplate at a store.
