Red Faction Freezes

Hi,

I downloaded the demo last night and was playing it this morning.. nice and cool xbox Elite and after like 3 min into the demo it locked up.. so I restarted it thinking it was just a small issue.. well upon starting the demo I bash down the fence with the hammer and just as I jump over it freezes again.

I then immediatly restarted and played the PORTAL demo and 100% no issues.. dunno wtf is going on but if RF is causing my box to freeze then im not pickin it up.. anyone else have this problem???

I played the SP and MP demos without any issues what so ever. I've also got the game and it runs really smooth... That's wierd man and the first I've heard or seen of it right off hand.

Demos worked fine for me, Try deleting it and redownloading. Should work after that.

I only had an issue with RF in single player at the very start, after that eveyrthing was was.

Yeah COD4 runs fine and so has everything else.. but RF is the only thing causing issues.. gunna go rent it and see what happens.. Buying a couple Thermaltake Mobile II fans for my 360 so I can get more air inside the box.

No issues with Red faction here either... Hopefully its not a precursor to the worst for your "new" Elite. I would say just blame it on the demo for now and see what a rental copy does for you.

Yeah thanks Cougar. I am getting a couple External Thermaltake USB fans ill put on the console sides.. I hope they drop the temp.. tonight im moving my 360 away from the TV and onto one of my speakers.. should keep it in a cool spot.. If this RROD it will be my 3rd

Moved it.. Still freezes on RF.. Was able to actually make it to the walker but once I started blasting and wasted a civie near the getaway it locked up once again.. didnt have much to test temps but the air was at 40C or 108F out the back alone.. so those chips are alot hotter.

It's not a heat issue. If it was a heat problem, all your games would do it.
The game data itself sounds to be corrupted or damaged. As I stated before, delete and redownload. It should clear it up. The NCAA demo did this to me, killed it, downloaded again, worked fine.

Done that and its still freezing.. Also started it today and played RF Demo right off the bat and it ran till I got the mech in the truck and once I was blastin baddies it froze up.. That is the longest I have played it.. i tried it again right after and it froze up almost immediatly in game play.
