iv'e herd even more than that its prolly because they include so much in the xbox at a fair price they dont want to make the price like 400+ because less people would buy it and then they would loose more than if they are doing like there doing losing 100 per system they figure that more people will buy it if its cheaper and there prolly right i think its a smart move

Well, all consoles are sold at a loss... thats just the way it is.. theres no possible way for them to market a console at a fair price while making money off it, cause of all that expensive technology inside... so microsoft sets the price at 299 and loses 100 on every console made, BUT then they make their money on the software, so its all good then

actually the first games they sell will make them a profit, but it will only dent the amount they lost, it will only take maybe 1-2 years to kill it off, which is doubtful that it will take even that long, plus remember, this wont hurt microsoft much, they got 50 billion
