Thread: Deadliest Warrior

    Default Deadliest Warrior

Am I the only one just really disappointed by this? I mean, only eight playable characters, and it's basically just a fighting game. I don't know, video game companies should stay away from good TV shows/Movies unless they know for sure, that they can create a good game from it.

I watch the show, but the moment I saw there was going to be a video game I knew it was going to be bad and I wanted to stay as far away from it.

LOL I know I know, but still, when you hear "Deadliest Warrior" and have seen the show, you kinda expect more than just a 2010 3D version of Mortal Kombat.

They should have went balls to the wall and released it in stores for $50-$60... I agree, it could have been very awesome indeed.

it actually reminds me of a fighting game back from the 3DO days. I forget the name of it now though. there were only a few characters to select.

out of curiosity, what other game would fit deadliest warrior other than 1 on 1 fighting? that's what the whole show boils down to in the big battle at the end, 1 vs 1 fighting.

That's the thing, that's all it is, it's basically a 3D Mortal Kombat with weapons, while that is fun and all, it doesn't do anything to honor the show in any way. Anyone can go create a game with Spartans, Pirates, Ninjas, and Knights. It would have been nice if there were at least any other element to the game that would remind me of the show outside of the fighting.

If its the game I think your talking about. It was called Way Of The Warrior. The graphics were fantastic but the gameplay sucked balls. I rented it from Jumbo Video and I was glad I did. I also rented Demolition Man while I was at it. lol

BTW, I didn't even realize that made a game till I saw it was released the same day as DeathSpank. Fantastic game if anyone was thinking about downloading it.
