In regards to licensing and distribution there are multiple classes of licenses you can obtain to meet your requirements of what you want to do with the music. Most of the restrictions come from making $ off of it (which I'm not, in fact I'm out money for the investment lol). Being neck deep in the audio world, there is so much red tape and the f'ed up thing is that depending on what you want to do depends on what kind and how much red tape there is.
