I don't know if this guy is reputable or not but he's got a good rating.


It's a little on the slow side for the office but it's perfect for a LAN party or GameSpy. (Worst case throughput when all 24 ports are being used is 416Kbps, which is plenty fast for gaming.)

great product for the Xbox. definitely not worth the $1,000+ that 3com's asking for anymore. the main reason it's so pricey is its software based switching abilities. really nice feature for a network but not on a 10mb hub.

that's a little overkill for just xbox lan parties...all you need is a 4 port hub...but you could completely wire your house for high-speed internet, network all your computers, AND have jacks in every room for your xbox lan parties.

btw, you can only sync 4 boxes together...16 players, not 24. we've been doing 16 player lan parties once a week, but we're now having over 20 people show up, so we're starting a second lan in my basement, with a couple of tvs and a couple of projectors.

My house is wired. I even have Ethernet in my bathrooms, closets, garage, and the room where we keep the cat box.

yeah but if you're going to wire your whole house, you don't want a 10mbps hub. you'll want a 10/100 hub

I have always been warned about things too good to be true. It is very rare in life that you will receive something for so little. This hub is basically free.

You are paying only a mere fraction of the actual cost. I bet this is some sort of scam or you will be receiving something else in the mail. I don't understand why a seller with such a good feedback rating would do such a thing.

Its brand new. I find this really hard to believe... if you find it hard to believe, please respond.

Nah. You're talking about an outdated hub.

It's got the software administration tools you'd want for administering an active network but is limited by 10mbps bandwidth instead of being 10/100 compatible.

$28 is a very good price for it. $1000 is ridiculous by today's standards.
