    Default Most wanted games

Kind of surprised no threads have been posted here yet. Let me see if I can't spark some Kinect talk.

What are some games you would like to be made Kinect compatible, or what game idea do you have that would be awesome for it?

I would really like see a Madden Kinect title, I think it would really immerse you into the game. And well, I could really use the workout.

Another game I would really like to see made Kinect compatible is Fable 3, which will almost surely be announced at E3 2011.

    What are your thoughts?

    Default Weird Idea

A Kinect game where you play Kinect, then that character plays Kinect, and so on.

Madden 12 will have Kinect features.

I'd like to see Kinect features added to Skyrim, like using hands to cast spells and attack and using voice for dragon shouts, which is kinda obvious, IMO. I wouldn't want the whole game turned into Kinect though.

The game that I want to make basically works like that. The majority of the game is played with a standard controller, but combat and puzzles are done with Kinect. That way, you get the micromanagement abilities that come with a controller, and breathers between Kinect events so you don't get exhausted playing a 30+ hour game.

I agree. I think we are getting closer to something like that. (Not the mental slavery via Holography but rather the Controller-Free Free-Range shooters). If we combined a game like Call of Duty, added in the Game Gun and found a way to blend in the Wii-U's technology (and maybe a viable set of video goggles or the like) we might have a winner.

As for the original question, I was looking forward to the Kinect game "Fighters Uncaged" ... nearly cried when I heard the reviews ... and now I'm looking forward to "Ryse". I think FPS' and sports games stand the most to gain from Kinect.

Something like Skyrim probably wouldnt hurt to have that kind of interaction.

I would rather that they concentrate on non kinect games for the 'less' athletics like myself :P

LoL. Technically, there is a series of games designated for people like us. They are designed to make us MORE athletic

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm excited for "Ghost Recon: Future Soldier" because it has Kinect support. I just picked up Advanced Warfighter 2, a few years late, and love it like the first one. Can't wait till March 2012.

Don't get me wrong, the Kinect is a breakthrough in the evolution of gaming...much better than waiving a controller around....

Anyway, but right now it's pretty much in the "Party" games camp. Makes sense because it helps bring in the casual gamer.

...but, as mentioned earlier, I want to see it move forward into the non-party game column, and cater to the gamers that keep these companies alive and running on a regular basis. The one thing I find funny is the reluctance of some gamers........it's hard to shake decades of being a gaming "Couch Potato" when it's Kinect (Insert your favorite FPS here) on the other end

Gonna have to work those leg muscles now

Should be interesting and hopefully they push forward on it knowing it's going to be a bumpy ride until it succeeds.

Title I want: A new IP FPS geared for the Kinect

Has anyone tried Sonic Riders or Child of Eden? I've been interested in them but haven't gotten around to trying them yet...All I have is Kinect Adventures, Your Shape FE, and a few free downloaded ones.

Avoid Sonic Riders, it's terrible: http://www.xboxaddict.com/Staff-Revi...ee-Riders.html

Child of Eden on the other hand is absolutely brilliant: http://www.xboxaddict.com/Staff-Revi...d-of-Eden.html

Was fantastic for Forza 4, will be great with Mass Effect 3 as well. There are some great Kinect titles out there, there's also a lot of garbage too lately though

But in my opinion with the release of kinect 2.0 (understanding is there will be an update for the original kinect) either way getting rid of my kinect and purchasing a Wii seemed like the best thing to do. I kept my 360 of couse
don't let the kinectimal fanatics sway you and your decision. you made the right choice, in fact i'm upset that kinect 2.0 is going to come bundled w/ the next console. there's been reports that kinect 2.0 is going to have it's own stand alone cpu and gpu. i've fought the good fight b/c imo there's nothing gaming related that makes me want a kinect (now there are other applications that kinect is great for). you're not missing out on anything that is specatular in the gaming world by selling your kinect. Yes you could use it in Forza 4 but the application was very limited and didn't do anything to make Forza 4 better. If i'm racing 185mph I don't feel the need to turn my head to look around, i'd rather focus on the road ahead. I don't think that kinect is going to be a deal breaker w/ Mass Effect (thank god). If you listen to our podcast as well, NO ONE ever suggested a kinect title or kinect as a "must have". lol there's a reason for that, even if they won't admit it, there's a reason for it lol.

You've obvoiusly not played in that mode then, cause you don't have to turn your head as if you're looking away from the TV. We get it, you hate it

Well where is your support mr. "I love kinect and the pearl necklace i get from it"????? LOL I never heard you reccommend any game that had to do with Kinect being the sole focus. You did suggest Forza 4, but not because of Kinect. lol Should I start posting the msgs on here where you fall down on your knees with tears streaming from your eyes saying how the games you're reviewing are painful and dog$h!t? lmao You suggested some amazing games my friend, but none of them kinect.

There is though an application that I saw for controlling lighting systems through kinect and w/ me getting back into my dj'ing, that would be f'ing awesome to do at a show. Plus the in the medical field and classroom there's a tremendous amount of potential for kinect. Sadly though, kinect finds it's strengths in areas it wasn't designed for, and in the field it was built for, hasn't generated the same quality of evolution that we've all grown up with. Remember, all companies have had failed "systems" but the amazing thing about kinect is how it's tech can be applied outside the field to do some pretty amazing things.

I dunno why you think I'm a blind Kinect fanboy, I'm not. There's tons of terrible games for it, some of which myself and 12buck had to review. There's also a bunch of great titles. They don't have to be Kinect specific titles, like Forza 4 which does a fantastic job at using its fuctionality, but when you are saying you need to turn your head to the side where you won't even see the screen, is just wrong.

Want me to suggest great Kinect games? Dance Central 1 and 2, Kinect Sports, Child of Eden, Double Fine Happy Action Theater, Gunstringer.
