Which system is releasing the most games? It seems to me that the box is releasing quality games at a fevered pitch. Is PS2 releasing games at the same rate? More? Less?

My guess is that the PS2 is releasing games at least as fast as the Xbox. That's because the platform's been around longer and so more work is coming out of the pipeline for it. Given the lifecycles of the two systems, we should overtake it in about a year or so (unless the PS2 faces a premature demise, of course).

The volume of games released is unimportant, what matters is the quality. Take the PS1 for instance, sooo many games but 9 out of ten are crap! PS2 seems to be following that trend as well.
The XBox is still getting a healthy supply of games and I would say that the average quality is a LOT higher than that of Sony consoles. Sure we are still getting turkeys but every console does.
Anyway, I just bought Halo today on launchday! Need I say more?
