    Default Final Fantasy...?

I haven't really gotten into a FF since XI...or whichever had that blonde guy who played that football type of game back on PS2. So I was wondering if any of the current generation FF games were up to par with--what I believe to be--the gold standard, FFVII (At least story-wise)?
We need a love bomb, to just blow us away, to freakin' blow all the lights out, turning night to day, hear it from miles away, a chance to make it right now, f*ck what the government says,
We gotta save some lives now, is that OK?

unf. there's nothing that compares to FFVII. that doesn't mean that they haven't tried, it means that they haven't succeeded.

FFIII (SNES) (FFVI in Japan) was pretty good. Its like Chrono Trigger in style.

Oh the fun hours on that!! I remember showing it to a friend of mine and he was hooked after that.

Its tough to dedicate the time to an RPG these days with work and the woman. I just want to feel like it'll pay off and not like I wasted hours of my life just for sh*ts & giggles. Gotdamned Mass Effect!

I agree with Var on the first XIII, but I can't possibly agree with any positive review on the sequel. There are few games that come out, and nearly immediately tank in price to the point where they're the same price as the prequel and are still good.

They fixed basically all the complaints people had about the first game, so why wouldn't it get a positive review?

I'm not saying that it can't get a positive review, I'm saying, I can't justify picking it up when right after it came out the price dropped so far that it's the same price as it's prequel.
