Default Marrowind? Good or bad? (ign article)

"The well-developed role playing elements and open-endedness of Morrowind are easily the game's greatest strengths at this point. However, there's a certain standard of beauty that Xbox owners have grown accustomed to and from what we've seen so far, Morrowind isn't living up to it. The Xbox has the processing power needed to keep an entire world filled with living, active characters to interact with but this is only going to be fun if the frame rate is up to par. It's true that in the end gameplay is most important and Morrowind is looking strong in that area, but at the same time we're worried about the lack of next generation polish and graphics we've seen. IGN will have much more on Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind in the coming weeks. "

is this going to be another hyped up game that underdelivers?

Because I'm not the most hardcore RPG fan, I was planning on reading plenty of reviews of this and Project Ego before I drop $50 on them. That's the plan thus far, anyway

i dont know about this game...the graphics looked kind of dull at gamespot...i'll still probably rent it though...do you have to know the story behind it with the first 2 games, or can i just play this game w/o having to get the other ones???

This game seems like the Holy Grail to me. I don't care what anyone says, I'm buying this one.

Of course, I bought Trespasser, too.

Mirrorwind is going to be great! Why wouldnt it be worth the buy? First off, it isint being made by a first time developer or people that make buggy games or dont know how to make games...The first 2 Elder Scrolls games were very nice...granted they were PC games, and there wasnt a real big market...but they were still highly acclaimed and such...endless possibilities with unlimited replay value looks good to me...but PE still knocks it off a little because Petyer Molyneux is a god! Or he plays one in games...

I couldn't agree more with you frosty. Morrowind will be the first RPG ever with endless replay value.

Hey Frostberg, here's a new logo for ya-

I have a lot of faith in this game. This game should be awesome, and I don't care what IGN says about the beta stages of it. Plus, they absolutely loved RAW, so that descredits their reviews/previews IMO.

I dunno... Morrowind seems like one of those rather mysterious games. It could be good, it could be bad, but I haven't seen anything anywhere (screenshots, previews and such) that has swayed my opinion. Guess it's best to wait for it to come out, then rent it... GRRR!!!
