RPG's,...... no doubt about it son!
My favorite game of all-times is an RPG. Skies Of Arcadia on Sega Dreamcast.
I love sports, action/adventure & fighters.

But nothing can compare to a gerne where it's like "life".
The right RPG can consume your social life (not always a good thing though) make you live & breath the experience.

When I run down my all-time favorite games overall RPG's are pretty much dominating the lead.

FF7 is among my favorites as well. Cloud is a God!

i love everything except for fighters and sims... unless Ages of Empires 2 falls under sims

... I was so consumed with that game for like a year

... I won't start up again because then I wont play anyother game for a long time. I had to go to AOE anonomous. It was like a drug. But the heroin is yet to come... Ages of Empires 3

Honestly, I bounce around when an extraordinary game comes out! I voted for shooters because I can't stop playing Halo on-line!

Also, Rallisport Challenge REALLY got me back into loving racing games...oh, man! That game is tighter than a frog's ass!

MY favorits are RPG for the same reasons NInja gave. I love games that draw you in, where you make decisions to loss power/health ect...with this choice/item/ect... over another. My other choice is FPS I have had a helava lot of these and I love all of them.
Current FPS picks: Halo, MOHAA Future: UC
Current RPG: GoldenSun, Dioblo LOD, Future: Marrowwinds, P. EGO, Breath of Fire II, and Dungeon siege.

I must say I am open to any time of game that is fun though.
