Prizes For Unlocking Achievements?

You heard it right, a rumor has surfaced today that Xbox will start a new program at the end of February to award prizes for playing select 360 titles. What do you guys think about this, will this be the start of a new gaming innovation?

For now it's a rumor, but it looks as if this is really going to happen.

I dunno, I doubt it would be anything fantastic. Maybe like 10 marketplace points for getting every achievement on a game within a week or something.

I doubt it will be anything worthwhile if it is in fact true.

I think its a very good idea, as Soda Jones said it will probably get more people interested in games that they may have not bought but because of a prize they will. I don't think I will try to get a prize though, I just don't have the time to sit there and play a game all day just for a prize, even if I do like to get things for free, lol

Anyway, I want to see the details get worked out better. From the details we've been told it seems like it may not work out too well and may go away at some point, IMO.
