Overall: The game play is great. I couldn't get use to the thumb pad for fighting, but still great. Of course you can change that. I really like the way you can block and lean out of the way of punches. I haven't yet played a boxing game that had so much control. Graphics are very nice. I like the realizm of when a boxer gets K.O'd and hits the floor.
Gameplay: Awsome game play. Control like no other. It's not just another slugfest like the previous game Knock Out Kings.
Graphics: The graphics bring a whole new level to the table when it comes to boxing and the way you can create a boxer. When a boxer gets hit enough times they start to swell and bleed now that realistic.
Sound: Sound is abit lacking. There lips are off when they are talking, the anouncer gets annoying, and it seems no matter what kinda music you buy at the fight store it all seems the same. Of course the anouncer is kinda entertaining at first but during long game play ya just have to turn him off. If they would of changed anouncers with the different fight that would of helped.
Suggestions: Well I got alot. For one what would of just kicked but would've been online play or atleast system link with of course voice so you can do some real taunting of your aponet. I was real disappointed when I found out PS2 had net play for the same game. Next would be the anouncer, change him randomly with each fight I don't mind hearing him just not all the time and the same remarks. The load time for the game , the bios and stuff seems abit slow if that could be improved abit that would be good. Lastly please add more fighters I kicked all there butts and then I was fighting fighters I've never heard of before. Other than tose things EA really made a great game, a must buy not just a rent.

Overall: Fantastic. Quite simply the best sports game i've ever had the pleasure of purchasing. You wanna do some REAL boxing?, buy this game then bub!
Gameplay: The most realistic boxing simulation ever made. Start off at the bottom and work your way up to be world champion, superb!.
Graphics: Quite possibly the best graphics i've seen....and i've seen some !&%$@#* fine graphics. Look me in the eye and tell me that these graphics are'nt PERFECT.....go on do it, do it!
Sound: PERFECT sound. For starters, all the usual sounds of a boxing enviroment are included : The pissed off coaches, the extravagent ring announcer...all GREAT.
Oh, and the soundtrack seriously kicks !&%$@#* too!
Suggestions: Nothing really. You've made a perfect game....why not treat yourselves to a schmoke and a pancake?

Overall: Once you get a handle on the Total Punch Control, it's a really fun game. I wouldn't rent it, though. It takes awhile (or at least, took me awhle) to get used to.
Gameplay: Using the right stick, you punch. Cool, but not when you get really excited and start flinging the thing around.

I also have a real problem with blocking. You use the right stick in conjunction with the right trigger. Since punching should be thought out and blocking reactive, I would have make a configuration in which you can reverse that, or at least with blocking very, very simple.
Graphics: When you hit a guy in the 9th round and see a spurt of blood leave his head, you get a bit excited.

The arenas (or dingy gyms) look great, the detail is good, the camera work is a bit weird to get used to though.
Sound: The sounds are good, but Tigger is a bit annoying (couldn't we get HBO commentators in here? And where the heck is Michael Buffer?)

This game was made for the BET crowd, because they not only put in all hip hop, they put in all bad hip hop. Or at least, not music you would associate with the raw aggression and high energy that is boxing. I'm not necessarily asking for Static X or Monster Magnet, I'm not fussy. Just something that doesn't start with 'check 1 2 uh uh yeah uh' and make me want to sleep.
Suggestions: Vary the music!! Also, it would have been cool to have a few more classic fighters. Joe Louis and George Foreman come to mind right away. Maybe other newer fighters, like Wladimir Klitschko, so I could have won a few fights at the beginning.

Overall: The king of boxing games hands down!
I would have to say this is one of the best boxing games I have seen to date.
Gameplay: First day I had issues with the total control punch system. I personally don't care for it and after switching to controller config 5 or 6 it plays out much better. The hits are great, the damage better. Taking your boxer from a nobody to a top contender is one hell of a ride! There are plenty of customization options and the training is really good as well. Even enjoy the sparring and it is best to go train as you can aquire the 15 max stat attribute points to use. If you auto train you get 4 points to use a sheer waste. Once you get the game down it is still tricky even at easy mode because my hands get so tired alot of hand work here. It is not about charging and hitting you really need to think a strategy for each boxer you confront. Some like to dance alot and you need to get in hit and back off.
Graphics: The visuals I think are excellent. The best I have seen in a boxing game to date for a console. Lots of sweat and blood flying the punch's are nice. The venue's look great as do the npc characters especially your bikini babes. Ther are alot of effects you can purchase through your career as well firewroks, doves, music, etc. different outfits for the girls, customized gear. Visually this game rocks.
Sound: I have had no issues with the sound at all everything works great so far. The hits sound great, the fans are there, the npc chatter etc.
Suggestions: The one thing that does not work for me personally is the total fight control with the right thumbstick. It's too troublesome and the controller config 5/6 works best. Also the lip synch for the dialouge of your trainers during rounds is way off. One other issue I have had a few times is the fact that I could not plant my feet and hit body shots. I disconnected and reconnected my controller and that seemed to fix it. This happens with another controller I tried also so it is a in game issue. Also very disappointed with the music selection. I don't care for rap music and would have liked to see more of a mix. A spanish fighter might for instance play something from his heritage I don't know more musical selection. Other than these minor things I love this game great job!
