Assassin's Creed Staff Review
"When Ubisoft first announced Assassin's Creed in Los Angeles at E3 ‘06, people were literately in sheer amazement as they left the demo room. Unfortunately for Xbox fans, at the time it was rumored to be a PS3 exclusive. Anticipation was already at an all time high based on the fact that the talented Montreal development studio was at the helm."

Overall: @!%#*!@!%#*!in's Creed is a wonderful game if you know how to play it. I don't know what this fuss is with it or if its because I love open world games. It could be better in some places but most places its OK. A tad bit repetitive but most open world games are. The Visuals and audio could use some work but for the most part are good enough that you can make out whats in front of you or you can hear whats going on around you.
Gameplay: @!%#*!@!%#*!in's Creed is very repetitive so I advise you NOT to play this game if you have problems with those type of games. It is always go to a district or city, gather intel, kill your guy, leave, go back to to @!%#*!@!%#*!in's HQ and get another hit. Rinse and repeat. Pain in the @!%#*! if you ask me. The achievements are time consuming but are easy to get apart from the flags.
Suggestions: STOP THE REPETITIVENESS!!!1 NOBODY LIKES TO DO THE SAME OVER AND OVER. The game also needs more of a story line put to it but keep the open world concept. Nobody likes to get sucked into another mission.

Overall: If you want a good run around with nothing to do other can kill people without being seen then this is the game for you. The developers had a very good idea of a game when they though up this one, but it is lacking in some areas. If you are like me and become easily bored then this game really isn't for you. The game itself has avery unique aproach to some things. It is very easy to just run around killing people for the fun of it for the not so serious gamers, but for the opposite it has a very deep and interesting storyline for you to follow, which is full of twists and turns at every milestone.
Gameplay: The game for me, personally, began great, it seemed all so new and cool. But then after completing the first three missions it began to become reppertetive and boring. Realising that you have to do practically the same thing each and every time is one of the downfalls of this game. The idea's they used are very unique and well placed within the game and they deserve a lot of credit for what they have done. But in my opinion the game becomes very repetetive.
Graphics: The graphics within @!%#*!asins creed are amazing, especially the view from ontop of jump areas. The developers have put a lot of time and effort to make the game look superb and I personally think they have moved past that point to something better. The characters and surroundings alike are very well done down to the smallest detail.
Sound: Again like the gameplay this became a bit boring a repetetive. This is simply because the voices all bang to sound the same after a while without any change. They began to annoy me for reaons unknown. The positive side to the audio is that when you first begin to play it all sounds so amazing. The voiceovers, the animals, the wind etc. they are all very well done, but as I said it becomes very boring and repetetive after a while.

Overall: Simply put this is one of the best games I have ever played. This game is the kind of game where if you put the fun into it, then you will surely have fun playing it. What wows me about this game? The graphics, the gameplay, the story, the detail, and the time it must have took to put all of this together. If you like a little adventure in your gaming life, then this is definitely the game for you.
Gameplay: @!%#*!@!%#*!in's Creed introduces a new gameplay mechanic to video games. It's sort of like Prince Of Persia but better. You are an @!%#*!@!%#*!in back in the times of the crusades, well sort of, you are actually being held hostage and used to alter past events. At least that's what I get from it. One of your skills is the ability to climb, run, jump, any and everywhere. And you will need this skill because this game has no shame in sending hordes of blad weilding guards to dispatch of your @!%#*! -@!%#*!in ways. (Heehee) However, when they do catch up to you, you are more than equipped to handle your business. This is one of the joys of this game for me. I never get tired of chopping guards up like cabbage and leaving them in the street calling for their mommas as they begin that long walk into the light. Altair is an expert at carving up any fool that dare oppose or corner him. You will travel to various locales with plenty of side quests but your main missions are to @!%#*!@!%#*!inate. And God help them, but you are the best.
Graphics: When I put this game in I am awesturck by the detail that went into this game. I honestly feel like I am in that world at that time and it is mostly because of the immersive graphics. I mean from the buildings to the people, to the horses, and Altair himself, I cannot comprehend how this was accomplished. It is easily in the top 3 of the most beautiful games made for the Xbox 360. The only games I can see as good visually for the 360 are Gears Of War, and Call Of Duty 4.
Sound: Even the audio is great. Everything in the game sounds authentic. The people, the animals, the voiceovers are top notch, and the wails of the slowly dying make me giggle like a blushing schoolgirl. As with every other aspect of this game, some time was spent in this department also. Don't believe me. Go sit on a bench in Jerusalem and just listen to the activity and close your eyes. You will swear that the people in the game are alive.
Suggestions: I have but one suggestion, make more of a varied side mission. It does get kind of repetitive after awhile but for me it didn't take away from the fun. The Ugly Truth: I can think of only 3 games better than @!%#*!@!%#*!in's Creed for the 360.

Overall: @!%#*!@!%#*!in's Creed is an entertaining, if sometimes repetitive, offering from Ubisoft. The game's storyline is somewhat flawed and the voice acting very flawed (although done intentionally for some unknown reason). Visually, the game is very sharp and a lot of work was put into fleshing out the most minor of details. If you like visiting foreign places, meeting interesting people, then sneaking up on them and brutally killing them, this is the game you're looking for.
Gameplay: @!%#*!@!%#*!in's Creed consists of a few things that you do over and over and over and over again.
Here's how it plays out:
Get your target from the cryptic leader of @!%#*!@!%#*!ins on your mountain-top fortress home. Run all the way down the mountain to leave the village and proceed to one of the three cities the future dead man resides in.
Upon reaching said city, climb up a bunch of towers (to flesh out your map and update your objectives), beat up street preachers - then kill them, pickpocket messengers, eavesdrop on conversations, find fellow @!%#*!@!%#*!ins and do their work for them, and kick the hell out of any guards found har@!%#*!ing citizens.
Once you've done this and already killed so many, you're allowed to go kill the one person you were actually SENT to kill.
Rinse and repeat for the next 5 or 6 hours.
Oh and did you want a proper ending after all your hard work killing and pillaging for the man? Maybe next time champ.
Suggestions: Ubisoft... please God tell me you troll sites like this looking for suggestions on how to fix a game you so obviously botched.
@!%#*!@!%#*!in's Creed was NOT a bad game - it was just flawed. It was repetitive to the point of insanity. For @!%#*!@!%#*!in's Creed 2 (because you so obviously set up the sequel) remove the crap. I don't need to beat up street preachers in every city. Nor do I need to pickpocket several henchmen per city to find out what their boss is up to.
However, the #1 thing to lose in AC2 is the viewpoints. One per city, maybe two is way more than enough. I could forgive all other repetitive objectives, but not this one. They need to go.
Give us more targets, multiple people per city who notice when one of their ranks go down and beef up their security to compensate. Don't make me run down a mountain every time I want to start a mission.
And please, give AC2 a proper ending. It can even be a cliffhanger if you're inclined to make AC3. But throw us a bone - we just spent several hours of our lives (and you spent at least a year of yours) immersed in a fantasy world. Give that world a little closure.

Overall: @!%#*!@!%#*!in's Creed will stay with you long after you finish it.
Here is one of the most unique gameworlds ever created: beautiful, memorable, and alive. Every crack and crev@!%#*!e is filled with gorgeous, subtle details, from astounding visual flourishes to overheard cries for help. But it's more than just a world--it's a fun and exciting action game with a ton of stuff to do and places to explore, rounded out with silky-smooth controls and a complex story that will slowly grab you the more you play.

Make no mistake: @!%#*!@!%#*!in's Creed is one of the best efforts of the year and a must-own game for Xbox 360.
Gameplay: In @!%#*!@!%#*!in's Creed, the greatest joy comes from the smallest details, and for every nerve-racking battle, there's a quiet moment that cuts to the game's heart and soul. Climbing towers to uncover portions of the map is a simple mechanic but forever satisfying, thanks to the beautiful vistas and soft musical themes that accompany the view. Even the drunks that pester you are amusing and fun, though their constant shoving is more than annoying, especially if you are trying to pickpocket a pedestrian or eliminate a target without a fuss. It all makes your missions that much more compelling, and you'll be inclined to explore every nook and cranny and take on every optional task, just for the fun of it.

There's a ton of stuff to do, and even when you've exhausted your official tasks, you can search for the collectible flags and crosses strewn around the cities and countryside.

You could probably plow through the main quest in 20 hours if you're lucky, but completists might spend close to 50 hours finishing every quest and gathering every collectible.
Graphics: The visual design has a lot to do with how believably organic everything feels. The cities are absolutely huge, and though you don't get full exploration privileges in the first few chapters, they eventually open up to let you travel seamlessly from one side to another. Everything is beautifully lit with just the right amount of bloom effect, and almost everything casts a shadow, from tall pillars to AltaĂŻr's cloak. In fact, sometimes the shadows get to be a bit much and may make you think for a moment that there is artifacting on your screen, when in fact it's a character's head casting a shadow on his or her own neck.

Every object, from scaffolds to pottery, is textured so finely you feel as if you could reach out and touch it. Animations are almost as equally well done. AltaĂŻr scales walls, leaps majestically from towers, and engages in swashbuckling swordfights that would make Errol Flynn proud. And he does it all with fluid ease, generally moving from one pose to another without a hitch. Minor characters move gracefully as well, though one of the game's few visual drawbacks is the occasional jerky animation on the part of a citizen.

However, it's easy to forgive, considering that the cities are populated with thousands and thousands of individuals. In fact, these tiny blemishes are noticeable only because everything else looks so incredible.
Sound: What you hear is even more impressive than what you see. At the top of a temple, you hear little but the rush of wind, the twittering of birds, and the barking of a far-off dog. In the most populated areas, your ears will fill with the din of street vendors, the pleas of beggars, and the occasional humming. It's never too much, though, and the game does a good job of making sure you hear what you need to hear (for example, the cries of citizens who need your help), without filling your ears with pointless noise.

All these effects, along with the clangs of swords and groans of @!%#*!@!%#*!inated foes, are outstanding. The voice acting of the supporting cast is similarly remarkable. Conversations are completely believable and delivered with the perfect amount of solemn dignity. Oddly, the weakest link is AltaĂŻr himself. Actor Philip Shahbaz does an all right job, but he isn't up to par with the first-rate acting of his fellow troupe.

Rounding it all out is a beautiful orchestral score that is most notable for its subtlety. Many of the game's most impressive moments are accompanied by lovely musical themes that add even more threads to the game's rich living tapestry.
Suggestions: There are few differences between the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions. PS3 owners are blessed with a slightly more solid frame rate, although the 360 version features a little more contrast in the lighting, so it's pretty much a wash.

But regardless of which platform you go with, you'll have an amazing and unforgettable game. @!%#*!@!%#*!in's Creed is the kind of game you tell your friends about, and one that should be in your collection.

Overall: Ok...so if you are looking for amazing graphics, check. Strong control scheme, check. But, when it comes to variety of game play and voice acting, this game flops.

First the good. The graphics are as you would expect, amazing. The scenery is impressive and to pearch atop a high point and see all the places you CAN actually go, it's kinda impressive. Everything is quite well detailed. Without giving away too much of the story, the "second portion" of the story is...well i'll save that for the cons. The combat system was good the first 20 times that you do it, and the special moves are cool....but repetative..and with that...

The cons however outweigh the pros. Repitition is this games montra. From the lady that runs up to me every 5 min asking me for change which gets really bothersome when i'm trying to accomplish something, to the unjust detection by the gaurds around every corner. This game REEKS of repeition. Synchronization with your envrionment is repetitive. Again, it's all very cool the first time you do it, but after the 15th time, you're kind of over it.

That being said, the game is a great rental, but save the purchase for the other games on your list. This one is a RENT for sure.

Happy playing!

Overall: A fantastic rush through history, playing this game actually makes you feel like the character.
You have a great AI within the game, the people the sun every aspect of this game is so real you could almost smell the horse manor as you hide on the gigantic hey stacks. The initial story line, is a bit weak kind of makes you feel like there was no attempt to create a more epic storyline, Actual @!%#*!@!%#*!in storyline was great... However overall the game makes up for its lack of storyline with new age graphics great sound, the control of the @!%#*!@!%#*!in is remarkable, this game is a must have to the action/adventure lover.

Gameplay: The game play was fantastic I thought I wasn’t going to get used to all the different types of movements up until I played it for about a day… However it took about 30 minutes before I mastered it completely , It’s not a button smasher which is an excellent thing, but its not a complicated system of fighting either… The interactions between character, people, guards, birds, everything is like poetry in motion this game is greatly made in the aspect of (realism).
Graphics: This part was, what I consider made the game. The surroundings the motions of character was so great that the pictures on the game on the Internet is nothing compared to the actual game… I have the luck of owning a 47” wide screen with hd on it oh man… great, great graphics… visually also I think it captures that time and era very well…. Each town has a different influence on how they build there city you can tell it’s a different culture.. Every where.. You go .. So there isn’t any oblivion dungeon repeats here every thing is different.. even the way the sun shines.
Sound: I have a sony gameplay ready sterio system with boss speakers around my living room, playing with 5.1 dolby surround..., this game is so crisp, with its sounds i love the AI on AI conversations (there funny pay attention) birds are great especialy when u do the leap of faith and u hear that eagle sounds great.... swords are on point with hits no hit then sound, hitting and sounds are very nicely timed.
Suggestions: MY ONE AND ONLY SUGGESTION.... ON HOW TO MAKE A GREAT GAME LIKE THIS GREATER IS.....

exclude the crap about the sci-fi machine----the ancestory bartender not needed....
the game was based on historicle events the storyline should of put us in the era of the @!%#*!@!%#*!in from the gecko..., could of used some good cinematics to recreate some cool historicle events .... made it a bit like kingdom of heaven and thats it... not hard u had the idea u made the game great the story line felt like i was watching some corny 9pm show on sci-fi (like the bionic woman) CCCCCCCCCCCCOOORRRRNNNNNY!!!!!!
