To be honest, Ive not played the original Witcher until somewhat recently when it happened to be on sale. I tried playing through it; I really did, but was never able to finish it, though I always wanted to as I really enjoyed the characters and lore. The original Witcher released for PC back in 2007 and was very popular, and then last year PC gamers finally got a sequel, The Witcher 2 which turned out to be one of the best RPGs and game of 2011."

Nothing but good news for CD Red Projekt’s upcoming finale to the Geralt Saga, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Those of you bummed out by how Mass Effect 3 turned out might look at the headline and scoff, but those of you who have played Witcher 2 know that such a feat is not only attainable but brimming with potential in developer CD Projekt RED’s hands.

CD Projeckt RED: Witcher 3 not the last after all
Okay, bad news first. Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will still be the final game in the Geralt trilogy. Hulk sad. Good news is, it’s NOT the final Witcher game. Hulk back to being angry all the time. This is like Mass Effect and Gears all over again.
Witcher 3 will be open-world RPG, likely next-gen
CD Projekt RED has confirmed that not only will the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt be the final game in The Witcher Saga, but it will also feature a sprawling, open-world 30 times bigger than that of Witcher 2.
