Overall: 4-D gaming at its finest! The ability to control time in a game is probably the best idea ever. It is a shame that the developers did not deliver. The overall experience was mediocre. Nothing had me crawling back for more. It did not take long for me to trade this bad boy in. I had some high hopes for the game but all I got was a lackluster gaming experience in a far too childish setting.I think that this game was just not my kind of game. There was just something missing out of this game that made me want to put it back in its case.
Gameplay: Once you get a handle on the controls, the gaming starts to get fun. Yet it is challenging at some points to figure out how to get over the next obstacle, which I happend to really like about this game. The whole time control aspect was something that added a certain degree of fun but the game lacked in plot and replay ability.
Graphics: The best part of the game was seeing Blinx run around in all his glory. The visuals were just fantastic and some of the cut-scence had my jaw dropping. I really like how this game looked.
Sound: Not much to say about its sound. Very absract at times coming from an envirnment which is foreign to me as well as other gamers. Nothing came out of the sound department that stands out in the back of my mind.
Suggestions: Do better for the sequel. Multiplayer?

Overall: What an awesome game, I'm not the biggest fan of platform games, but this was totally awesome, very addictive. Time manipulation rules!
Gameplay: Great control, lots of replay value, you can buy lots of things, funny monsters, but the camera is a bit dodgy. Love controlling time.
Graphics: Looks great, I love the look of Blinx's fur and the face he makes when he runs away from the time monsters. Great looking water and awesome twisted buildings.
Sound: Great sound, totally frantic, nice and fast makes you hurry up, keeps you right in the game. Highly addictive.
Suggestions: Keep it up, bring out a 2nd, make it a little less frustrating.

Overall: Okay when I first heard of this game I thought it was going to be the worst game ever. But it was cool. The next Mario? Damn right it is.
Gameplay: At the beginning of the game it is too easy. But later on there are clever puzzles and it gets harder. You are wondering what do after. There so many levels and you can buy stuff like vac !&%$@#* cleaners and costumes now that is good gameplay.
Graphics: The graphics are great the fur texture is awsome. The shadows and lights, everything colourful now this deserves a perfect 5.
Sound: Okay this is the only bad thing about this game. The same gosh-darned annoying song and almost no sound effects.

Overall: Blinx is fun, and challenging. Its also perfect for girl gamers as it contains a vacuum cleaner... Only joking...
Gameplay: In Blinx, you take up the role of a time travelling cat. Yes, you read right, a time travelling cat. But despite the prospect sounding strange, it is actually a good game. Basically,in Blinx you have to try and traverse the many levels in the game using time controls that you acquire by collecting combos of special time crystals in the levels. These include: Fastforward, rewind, pause, record ect. These are collected with a time sweeper, a vacuum cleaner type object, which can also suck up and blow out rubble in order to attack enemies. Also, each level must be completed within ten minutes, which is a challenge in itself. You then use the time controls you gain to defend, attack or solve puzzles during the levels. The game has enough levels to keep you occupied for a few weeks, esspecially scince each level contains 'Cat medals' which can be collected in exchange for bonuses, including special videos or items. An extra touch is the extent to which you can customise Blinx himself, by changing his outfit or buying more advanced time sweepers. The gameplay takes place on a basis of completing three levels, then fighting a bosss monster before advancing to the next set of levels. The gameplay can get repetative, because the time limited levels are often a pain. You can be only seconds from your goal before the time runs out and you find yourself starting the level again. Still, this will only annoy some people.
Graphics: The graphics are very good. Textures are sharp and clear, and the levels are open and colourful. Blinx himself is perfect, his fur can be seen lining his body and his metal boots reflect the objects around him. The enemies are also decent, although they seem very simple in comparisson to Blinx, even out of place as the detail is sometimes a little under done. However the environments are varied and each has an obvious theme.
Sound: The sound in Blink is very good too. The music is more catchy than you would expect, and is different for each group of levels. You will only find yourself bored of the music if you have to keep trying a level over and over, mainly because rather than working as tracks, the music is an excert of about 2 minutes that loops throughout each group of levels.
The soundeffects sadly don't seem quite up to the standard of the music, they seem artifficial in places, and i've often wondered why Blinx makes a high pitched bellish sound when he jups...
Suggestions: For the sequel, it would be nice to loose the 10 minute time limit. It decreases the enjoyment by making you rush to the finish, often causing the player to miss something important. Other than that the game is good. Thumbs up.

Overall: They say ?The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world?, well the hand that controls time does the same, except you don?t rule the world, you own it, and with Blinx you do just that. Blinx has advertised itself as the first ever 4-D game (the fourth dimension obviously being time) which you do in fact control here, and at will not at required or set moments. Evolution needs to be at hand here and to the dying genre of platformers, new features are exactly what is needed and for the most part, lacking in the latest platformers. The oddball water-pack of Mario Sunshine was a poor idea; Mark of Kri?s violent stealth action in a cartoon world made it all the more ridiculous, indeed the platformers era is at an end, the days of Super Mario 64 and Tomb Raider are long behind us and now serve only as a memory of what pedestal was used in inventing the 3D genre of gaming we have today.

So did Microsoft Game Studio?s latest gamble, an oddball 4D platform game pay off? To me, yes indeed, though I say it now, Blinx is a great game, but it?s also not for everyone. Blinx is an orange colored feline working at the Time Factory that creates and distributes time throughout hundreds of worlds. When a glitch appears in time, the worlds become distorted and monsters are created from these errors which call for the Time Sweepers who enter these realms and clean things up, so basically you have a human-like cat with an exaggerated, garbage mans job. A group of fat pigs called the Tom-Tom gang invade on of the worlds stealing its time crystals and kidnap the Princess which results in our fearless feline hero venturing into the doomed world to save the day. Okay, by now you know the drill, get the girl, beat the bad guys and live happily ever after. Blinx?s story is hardly its strength, luckily after a gorgeous CGI opening it doesn?t try to dive into it either, but instead says ?This works, we?ll leave it at that, bada-bing bada-boom we?re done.?

From then on, its go time and right in the first level is when you?ll make your opinion about this game after you see its unusual aspects of gaming. Blinx?s only ability to attack is by shooting garbage at enemies, garbage that he sucks up with his vacuum cleaner which is littered throughout every level (Being you are a garbage man you?re also awarded money afterwards for picking up trash). Normally I would complain about this awkward method, but the game handles it rather well. There?s no worry about shooting endless pieces of trash and enemies and missing thanks to a very forgiving auto-lock which hits its target more than 80% of the time even when you thought for sure you wouldn?t hit anything. Garbage is also aplenty in the levels getting stuck without any projectile's is highly unlikely.

The second difference with Blinx is that every level has time limit of 10 minutes, your goal is to eliminate all the enemies in the level by that time then head to the goal. You?re not required to accomplish any kind of objective or retrieve this or that, you only job is the wipe out all the monsters, easy right? With the mention of the 10 minute time limit you may be cringing at the thought of heated gameplay where you?re stressing out trying to find that last enemy and escape before its too late, well to that I can gladly say the time limit in no way provides a rushed sensation to get things over with as fast as you can. In fact I have only run out of time twice in the six some hours I have played it.

Finally we have the time control, killing enemies and scattered throughout levels are time crystals which bare an eerie similarity to Lucky Charm?s marshmallows. Collecting three of the same shape will give you a time power; these operate like a tape-recorders button layout, slow-motion, rewind, fast forward, pause and record. A bridge collapsing beneath your feet can be restored with the touch of the rewind button, enemies and even bosses can be rendered helpless with the pause button allowing you to hit enemies at will. Of course probably most unique of all is the record command in which Blinx is given about 15 seconds to perform any task you please, he is then rewound and the recorded Blinx does the task you just performed while you regain control of the other Blinx and can do as you wish in either assisting in attacking enemies, or escaping from crowded rooms.

All these time elements add into a completely effective gameplay system that revives and revitalizes the platformer genre and the end product is a fantastic result. In fact after my entire time with Blinx I really can?t name a flaw with it; Microsoft has developed a truly polished and unique game that any Xbox owner who?s interested in some 3D action should look into. Blinx is a highly stylish and inventive game and is one of the best games of this year for the Xbox.
Gameplay: The universal strongest point of games is Blinx?s strongest aspect as well. A very refreshing and at times incredibly revolutionary step forward in platform gaming with clever and unique touches the entire way through. The one hit kill deaths can get very difficult in some areas but the easy controls and well paced and length levels make it right for just about anyone to pick up and play; not to mention a long game by its own merits with plenty of goodies and extra items to unlock along the way.
Graphics: Easily one of Xbox?s most gorgeous looking games with highly animated and incredibly detailed worlds, enemies and areas looking like a contemplation of movies like Nightmare Before Christmas and even some reminiscent of Never Ending Story. Blinx himself looks fantastic, even down to individual strands of hair on his ears and the huge grin he gets when vacuuming. Character models are flawless with no break-up and each one looking like a motion-captured grab from top of the line CGI?s masterworks like the movies of Pixar.
Sound: Artoon & Microsoft Game Studio?s has approached this game?s sound in a very cartoon like atmosphere. The entire game is like listening to a re-run of Looney Tunes from the squeaking of Blinx?s footsteps to the stars swirling around his head when he gets whacked, in any other game they would probably seem out of place but they don?t here and these noises also don?t become annoyingly monotonous. The musical score is average, but it does happen to fit Blinx?s oddball universe and on occasion, has some fine tunes, just nothing amazing to your ears.
Suggestions: Blinx proves again why this year is turning out to be the year full of surprises in gaming with sleeper titles like The Thing and Conflict ending up far ahead of the big budget flops like Turok and Mario Sunshine. Artoon has planted their flag in the gaming industry with authority and have created a highly addictive, entertaining and visually amazing game that all Xbox owners should try this holiday season, you find yourself very surprised and find Blinx sweeping up much of your time as well.

Overall: Ok, for all you platformer fans, pick this game up. You can get it cheap, and it is a fairly decent, although at sometimes very frustrating game. I rented this one, and thats all anyone else needs to really do.
Gameplay: The overall concept with the manipulation of time is very cool, and this is what makes the game so unique. The plot is somewhat unique, but its not what drives the game at all. Some of the levels are very frustrating, and this game had me throwing things all over the place. Be careful, the AI is very CHEAP!
Graphics: The characters and the world in Blinx is very cute and creative. Blinx himself is furshadded, and the enemies are very imaginative!
Sound: If you have ever heard the song "Clocks" by Coldplay, this games music sounds very similar. So if you like that song, you'll probably like the music.
Suggestions: I thought the AI was cheap. Other than that, make the plot stronger, and the game longer. Hey, that rhymed!!

Graphics: the best thing was the graphics. kind of cartoony at points but does take the XBOX advantage.

Overall: Marketin campaigns and again user reviews made me thought this game was larger, longer and better than Mario 64.. and again they were wrong. YEah it has the nice feauture of controlling the time but I can use it as the way i thought it could, graphics are nice, but the level designs are boring, they need more life on it, the same issue with the enemies, they are just crappy.
Gameplay: I will write is as shortly as possible.. Just add Mario a timesweeper on his back with the ability to control time, and that is IT.
Graphics: Graphics are so great, but they arennt bad anyways. This game just look average but i know microsoft studios could make it look better.
Sound: meow!! city full of cats with timesweepers on their back talkin chit chat and a final boss who looks like a big old clock.. who need voices here? just add some cartoonish sounds and thats it.

Overall: The concept is very creative, though it lacks of speed, the graphics and the worlds are cool and Blinx is sooooooooooo cute, it looks like a little fury Mario.
Gameplay: It was entertaining, some of the bosses were quite challenging especially the last of them, it took me 1 Hour to defeat him.
I?m not a fan of it but I liked the song on the start screen and the fact that they didn?t talk english was cool.
Graphics: The worlds were kind of small but creative and cute. Some times it gave me a little nausea, but the details make it up for the game.

Too shiny...
Sound: Music is really good but the voice acting was quite poor ?cause some times it would seem as if they were foreigners reading teleprompters.

Overall: A platformer with a twist.... Well sort of. It is a typically cute platform game which has you typically collecting things but with a twist.
Gameplay: The twist is that you have a hoover which picks up time crystals. Get 3 the same and you gain a control of your video player which allows you to change your envirionment (time control). It works ok but was a bit of a let down after all the hype. The basic platforming is ok but nothing special
Graphics: Blinx is cute. Girls will love him. The game is colourfull and well drawn the animation is less good though.
Sound: Well it's ok I think, but very forgetable as I can't even remember the sound and I only played it this morning. I don't remember it being too bad or so good so I will score it average

Overall: Fun for a while, but gets old after playing for a large amount of time. The time control is fun, and the villians are creative. Its one of those fun for the whole family games, which normally is good for the kids, but makes it lack some fun feature for adults, this game avoids that and while a childish story doesnt seem lame.
Gameplay: Blinx lets you control time as you control your dvd player, pause, rewind, fast formward, slow, and record(lets you record yourself for ten seconds and then have two of yourself for that period of time). You progress through five stages, each with around five levels. Each stage is a diffrent, functunal enviroment.
Graphics: Cartoonish, but quite sharp, and graphically is quite good, especially when everything must be made to change movement patterns depending on speeds, from ultra fast to ultra slow.
Sound: The cat's (the main character is a cat) sounds are a little annoying but not headache bad. Can't remember if there is music or not...
Suggestions: Work a little on making where to go apparent, and have more of the dirrectional help things like in the first stage to help you along.

Megaherz *RAGE*
Date reviewed: April 4, 2003.

Overall: Blinx is one of many time janitors who's usually working at a time factory,
where the flow of time is managed and which is located on their cat planet.
His job, and the job of his fellow feline janitors, is clearing out the time monsters
created from crystals in different sector.
They guard over all worlds, using Time Sweepers
to take out the trash. Things are going along dandy until the Tom-Tom Gang, a
crowd of hover-bike riding pigs, starts stealing time crystals from various worlds.
They even nab themselves a princess.
All of this backfires, as their meddling, creates a
large scale of monster problems in world B1Q64.
Turns out the majority of these time-janitors are scaredy cats, as they all flee when
things are going to be nasty and dangerous, someone must save the world before it's too late.
You know Blinx hasn't been neutered, because he's got balls.
He heads off fearless to save world B1Q64 by jumping on the time portal of this dimension.
He will have to explore a variety of unique locales
and clear out every last time monster if he hopes to save the Princess and the entire world.
Do you think you can handle to be hero like him ?
Blinx was probably one of the first platform game to appear on x-box last year and
without any doubt, this one is the best. For Ign, this game is a pure enjoyement
for your senses and for Gamespot it was too much frustating. But me i prefer
to stay straight and affirmed that Blinx was really cool but can't actually be a legend
or a source for the next generation as ign is trying to say.
Gameplay: In Blinx : The Time Sweeper, you must hold X or the left trigger to suck with your sweeper,
tap one of those two buttons if you want to fire some trash, press or double tap the green button to
jump or make a double jump and finally B to choose which time feature you will use.
Also you can use the right thumbstick to move the camera and successfully
perform a back flip with A and the Back button.
For the positive part, i could mentionned that Blink is the coolest character since Mario on
Nintendo because he got the look, the attitude and the mood to be the greatest character
ever done for a platform game. No, he is not a copy of Mario Bros, but a pure new platform game
which you should take a look.
An another great thing is that you will never see Blink on GameCube or Playstation 2 because there is no hardrive
to perfom the time feature.
The craziest feature is the time management. All you must do is to collect a double pair or a trio
of icons of the same shape to use one of the time management, which are review where you can be back in time and
pass some bridge who was been destroyed in past, forward to save some time, slow to kill some
difficult ennemies, pause to, of course, kill the monster in the easiest way possible and finally
record where you can produce a clone of yourself who can help you in some teamship moment.
The lasting appeal of Blink can be summarize was beating the forty levels, which are really short,
with all those secrets they contain. As first impression, you will find it a way too easy and
we will not play it back, but this game is really hard so you will probably take much more time that
you will envisaged.
In fact this game is so much hard, that with only two star for the difficulty levels, which are pre-programmed,
it was the right difficulty to make me a bit furstated. So imagine when it will rise to five star, it will be a god d-a-m-n
way too hard.
The fact that i can only have three live and that in most part you got only one because
you already try too many times, it can be really frustating to die and start over,
especially when you are fighting the boss.
Finally , the gameplay is a bit frustrating but in most part i was enjoying it.

Graphics: Blink : The Time Sweeper, offer everything that x-box can show to gamers. The texture are funny,
great and well polished, the video are amazing but the disc is on a way too cheap, so after a while
it can cause some major slow down and you will not feel the same intensity when it will lock and restart.
I am not really a fan of funny and comic texture because it look too much unrealistic. Curiously, i was loving Banjo-Kazooie
on Nintendo 64 because it never pass the dead line of real world and comic visual. Blinx is totally a
fictif world where mature gamers like most x-box owner will not find any attraction. I didn't said it
was only for kids, but in a way you must really be a fan of Jet Set Radio Future, Mad Dash Racing or
Batman Tomorrow. Finally the lack of cutscene gave to us a impression that the story was no so
well implanted.
Sound: The best way to express the ambience that must combine a funny character and a comic environement
is a techno beat music, so don't be surprise if it what you can heard in Blink : The Time Sweeper.
If Blinx could have talk more and if they could add the possibility of using
the custom soundtrack even if trash metal or punk can't be related to this kind of game, the sound could have been a
bit better because the music seem always the same.
Suggestions: Custom soundtrack and make it a bit easier !

Overall: I feel that Blinx is my favorite Xbox game I've ever played. The game reminds me of Nights into Dreams and Burning Rangers. I feel that if you liked both of those games, you'll like Blinx. Very addictive and fun game.
Gameplay: The gameplay is very original. Everytime I play any other platforming game, I see myself wanting to pause the game or slow it down. The game has about a medium difficulty level to me. Probably one of the funnest games I've ever played.
Graphics: The graphics in Blinx are amazing to me. I love the fur that Blinx has and I love the reflection on his shoes. The game has some of the nicest looking graphics I've ever seen.
Sound: The sound in the game is very good. The music of the game kind of reminds me on Sega Sautrn classic Nights into Dreams. I like the sound that the time crystals make when collecting them.

Overall: Personally.. ^_^ I think it's quite cute, and fits X-Box quite well.. Of coarse, it has a little bit of bugs, and I haven't played it out, but it's just T00 kyoot to avoid.
Gameplay: Blinx is sometimes a bit sluggish ( which I avoid by double jumping ), and it is a problem when one shot is it.. Maybe 2-3 shots and it's it would be better to make it more fair for us players.
Graphics: The eyes are so large. *_* Wowwie. They do bring out the liveliness in the Felines. The colours do same, and they like to mix and match. Though, all the Time Sweepers look alike. Is that suppose to happen?
Sound: I LOVE THE SOUNDS. Period. In the intro, I can tell that it's not Japanese. More or less, it must be an un-earthly language. Techno-ish I say. But the Theme I can't stay away from either. It's so.. Hypnotising sometimes, and I'm meaning that in a good way.

Overall: Blinx is a 3d platformer game with a new gimmick, time control. From time crystals, which lay throughout the levels and come from time monsters, blinx picks up time abilities. The abilities include rewind, slow, pause, fast foward and record. They are well implemented and are a big plus for this title. Record and rewind are especially clever, several of the levels requiring there use to continue or get the special items. Blinx uses a vacuum to sweep up trash then regurgitate the trash to kill the enemies. The enemies have the usual cutesy style to them, each one have its own style of attack. The levels have great style, colorful, lots going on. Each level has a 10 minute time limit to complete, which adds challenge to blinx, and there is a pretty good challenge to some of the levels. Luckily the levels are not long, so it wasnt long before you learn the level and are able to beat it. There are 8 worlds, each world has a boss, I thought the bosses were great. It took time to learn of there weaknesses, but your time controls were the great equalizer. Blinx was overall fun to play, I found myself addicted to beating the challeging levels. Its great satisfaction to beat the levels and find all the cat medals, several of which are cleverly hidden and can be only be obtained with your time controls. Some things could be improved though. In particular, a poor story that was hardly developed at all, blinx has no personality as a result. The aiming system can be frustrating and chaotic, and a camera that when gets too close to walls takes on a life of its own. But these problems did not prevent me from having fun, and i surely look foward to a blinx 2 if there is a sequel in the works.
Gameplay: When u first play blinx i was struck by how slow he moved. You get used to it, and it works well in the levels. He also has a double jump along with his vaccuum. I liked the vacuum part of the game, finding trash littered throughout the level was a good way to create ammo. You can upgrade your sweeper so that it sucks larger trash, and holds more too, nice addition. What i didnt like was the aiming, sometimes it would shoot in odd directions and can be hard to figure which way it will shoot. Shooting while your against a wall was like a blind man with a gun, its a crapshoot. The game can become frustrating at these times. I read in reviews that the time crystals were hard to get in the correct sequence because of how close they are. This is true, but i dont think they realized you can shoot trash at them to disburse them. There are lots to do and find in the level, with all the crystals, cat medals and gold. Things are well hidden and often times need the time crystals to reach them. Blinx requires you to go back to previous levels to restock time crystals and lives. This is ok because then you can look for those well hidden cat metals.
Graphics: Great visual style, the levels look blurry to me though. Its definately got the cutesy style, the enemies and blinx have a cartoony style. The levels are chocked full of action, structures collapsing, river and mud flows, plus each level had its own style and flare.
Sound: Sound was a big minus, as everything was in japanese and blinx had no personality because he said nothing. There was no story to follow and the store !&%$@#* cat said nothing, you had to read the text like mario games. The in game music reminded me of being at a circus or amusement park. Could be improved.
Suggestions: After you defeat the level remove the time limit so we can explore the levels freely. Vary the time objectives for each level. It would be nice to have different size levels. Fix the aiming and camera problems. Improve the story, have more cut scenes that create a villain and hero storyline. Next time have the cat medals unlock sweepers or some function in the game, maybe time abilities. Great game, sorry it got such bad reviews, i liked it alot.

Overall: The first 4D game. great innovation, but the game could be better. The game looked great, large complex levels and wacky monsters, but the controls and camera was kinda weak. those are the major problem with 3D (now 4D?) platform games. and i also felt that Blinx ran way to !&%$@#* slow. Blinx is a good game, but i wouldn't buy it.
Gameplay: you have to save this world from losing time! why? cause blinx thinks the princess is hot... oy boy. well, you run around each level collecting time gems and destorying monsters within 10 mins. Blinx kinda runs slow for someone who has to fight against the clock. I enjoyed all the time mod effects, but the record puzzles were somewhat confusing at first. there are 3 levels and a boss per world. and the store feature was nice.
Graphics: wow. the worlds were giant with a lot of complex details, and the load time was low. I didn't notice any slow downs either. I think my xbox cables are messed up cause i kept getting clipping problems, but that's not blinx's fault. The begining CG intro was pretty cool as well.
Sound: Voice acting was pretty cool, even if it's in some crazy timesweeper language. other than that, the music and SFX were pretty good. nothing bad to say, i guess.
Suggestions: I think you can use 4D technology for a better game...

Overall: After reading a few of the online reviews about this game, I was a little skeptical about dropping down $50 but in hindsight, I'm glad I did! This game is a refreshing change of pace from the other platform games on the market.
Gameplay: If you take away the time controls, there is really nothing new here. The characters, albeit a little on the cartoony side, are diverse and created by someone with a massive imagination. I mean, where else will you ever see an octopus flying around with a large baloon attached to it's back? Some other reviews have mentioned that you will have to play and replay each level over and over again by design and to tell you the truth, I don't mind it one bit. The levels so far are not huge and at most only take 10 minutes to complete.

Hidden items in the game is a nice touch but the prizes you receive for getting them seem a little... odd to say the least. I dont want to ruin it for anyone but what was received was really not what I was expg upgrades to your sweeper and other items is a definate plus but one thing I don't understand is why you lose your previously purchased sweeper when buying a new one. It's not like you wont need it again and wouldn't be so bad if they weren't so expensive to begin with. Another item on the hunh? list are clothes. I don't understand why this is necessary nor so expensive. To give you an idea of what I mean, each level could yield roughly 500 gold and a new set of clothes costs somewhere around 3,000. You would think for all of the work you put into getting this money would result in something good for your character but only makes him look cool. Does this change my opinion of the game? Not at all but you still have to wonder.
Graphics: Very nice... for a platform game. The worlds are detaled enough and very colorful. I especially like the way some of the buldings are warped at the top giving them a cartoon look!

The time icons are colorful and kind of remind me of the cereal Lucky Charms; red hearts, green diamonds, gold stars, but no purple horseshoes.

The bottom line is that the look of this game fits it perfectly. The camera at times can get in pretty tight but has not been an issue for me not like other 3D games out there.
Sound: I have to agree with some of the other reviewers here; one of the only sounds I can remember off of the top of my head, is the rewind sound just because I have heard it so much. See, everytime you die, the game "rewinds" itself about 5 seconds prior so you can imagine what I am talking about. The only other memorable sound is the theme song from the first level which sticks in your head. I hope this theme comes back on some of the later levels!
Suggestions: I hope you are working on a sequel!! Please add some functionality to the different clothes Blinx can wear other than the "coolness" factor and also try dubbing new voice overs for us English speaking customers. You did it on the title screen...

Overall: This game is really something special IMO! It introduces a whole new concept that no one has ever used before. The graphics seem to come alive on the screen.
Gameplay: Usually excellent. The snow level had me mad for a while but since I've passed it I've not had anymore problems with the gameplay. The controls are tight and responsive...the time crystal concept is pretty cool, I never thought when I first started playing this game I'd end up pulling off all the tricks I am now, but it's very fun to play and addictive...Ill not rate it perfect cause you slip and fall randomly on the ice level :(.
Graphics: Looks like a 3d cartoon, better in some ways. Well thoguht up enemies, level 3 where you're underwater with quicksand the game almost looks alive. Im very impressed!
Sound: The music varies from world to world, it's usually pretty good, I thought level 3s world sounded a little too much like bomberman though...
Suggestions: Don't make Blinx slip on the ice!

Overall: The game is fun. Plain and simple. It's
got some little flaws, but overall, I'm
enjoying it so far. It hasn't really gotten
hard yet, I find myself breezing through
levels, however, I've yet to find all the
secret areas on each level, so I will wind
up going back once I have a better time
sweeper. The game looks real good, the
music is interesting. I would definitely
buy it if you're into this type of game.
Gameplay: The time controls are a trip. A clever idea
executed very well. It took a while to get
used to this "4th dimension" of gaming,
but once you learn when to use them,
they're a lot of fun and essential to the
game. I haven't found the levels too
difficult so far, but that may change as the
game progresses. There are secret
areas that add a nice twist to the game.
It's been an enjoyable gaming
experience so far.
Graphics: The game looks real nice. Textures
could've been a little more high-res
considering it's an xbox only, but there is
a tremendous amount of detail that really
make the environments come alive. If
you get onto a rooftop, stop and look'll be amazed.
Sound: The sound is interesting. Technoish. The
character sounds seemed like an after
thought to me. I found myself humming
along to the menu song after a bit.
Suggestions: Like many others, I thought the character
ran too slow...make him quicker next time

Overall: Bad game. I'm 26, but I have
enjoyed the "toon" type games in
the past (sonic, crash, etc.), but
this game is lacking in so many
areas. I can't believe the people
giving this game 5.0 ratings. I
usually give games the benefit of
my doubt, but this was a
disappointment. I hope Microsoft
can come up with something
Gameplay: Poor camera angles, difficult to
control. Blinx (main character)
moves incredibly slow, and it is
hard to aim. Special "time control"
features tint the entire screen
monotone, so you can barely see
what you are doing-very
Graphics: The one PLUS to this game.
Graphics are tight, but I could care
less how good the graphics are if
the gameplay stinks.
Sound: Sounds like Sonic. Nothing here
to impress me much. The "meow"
Blinx makes when he falls, is very

Overall: Overall this game was definetly a letdown. I cant complain to much since I only had to pay $3.00 to rent it, but if I had bought it I would be pissed. This game should only be bought if you have kids around the age of 9.
Gameplay: The Gameplay is mediocre at best. After completing the third level I was bored. I only finished the game because I had nothing else to do being off work for a week. Once again the gameplay seems to be more for that of children (just a bit more compicated).
Graphics: Graphics looked ok for the type of game that it is. Definetly no extra effort put in on the details of the monsters.
Sound: Funny, I completed the entire game, but the only sound I remember is the annoying rewind sound that happens when you die. Wonder why that is?
Suggestions: Gear this game more for children. I dont see how Adults would go for it. This would have been a perfect title for the Gamecube library.

Overall: This game is great!! I love the charectors and the detail is amazing. I think think this game is really creative.
Gameplay: The camera takes a little to get used to,but its a minor prob that most 3d games have. I give it a 5 because the control is still great. The store is a cute idea. Its great to see a nintendo style game on Xbox since I love this type of game.
Graphics: This is how all Xbox games should look full of detail. tons of texture mapping well desighned levels and enemys.
Sound: The sound is good. it dosen't overpower the game at all I mean you don't really notice it when your playing. The sound is great though and its not to anoying. I kinda wished there was a english setting, but that adds to blinx's style.

Overall: After seeing the Gamespot and Planet Xbox reviews for Blinx, I was a bit skeptical on buying this game I had anticipated for quite a while. Buying Blinx was a gamble for me, but thankfully I was not let down. Blinx is a superb game with its share of problems that can easily be overlooked thanks to the great gameplay and graphics. Blinx sucks you into his world and doesn't let go.
Gameplay: The ability to control time is where the game shines. I expected the whole aspect to be disorienting, but I was wrong. Controling time is easy and most of all fun! My only grudge is the difficulty level. It would have been better if you an infinite amount of time in each level. Also, the store adds a nice layer of depth and strategy, which works well.
Graphics: The graphics are great! The levels are nicely detailed, but the character design could use some work. Slowdown is little and hardly noticable. Overall Blinx is one of the nicest looking Xbox games to date.
Sound: Each level has a good soundtrack, although it can get a little repetitive when having to retry a level over and over again. Very similar to Sonic's music. All very good.
Suggestions: Make a sequal with a better story and character design. Be even more original!

Overall: Great , Will play it for many times to come. Nice grapics (solid). Nice Sound (much like sonics). Lots of replay value.
Gameplay: Time control adds a lot to the experience makes you wonder what you can do. I am sure there are tons of secrets tucked away.
Graphics: Nice solid graphics. Camera does need some work but I played Mario Sunshine and it is not any better. You should remember it does take place in tight spaces.
Sound: Electronica music, made by the same guys who did sonic. So it is very similar and seems to feet the game in that Blinx is a japanese cat.
Suggestions: Work on the camera. Make him run a bit faster....make a Blinx 2. Usually I don't write these reviews but other reviews just don't give this game justice.

Overall: Wow. Incredible. You do not realize how much creativity can and HAS gone into this game. The graphics are beautiful! Secrets in every level allow for great replay value. Make sure you have your brain plugged in for this'll NEED it! Wow...
Gameplay: YOU HAVE *NEVER* PLAYED A GAME LIKE THIS BEFORE! You'll wonder why nobody has done something like this already. The answer is simple: it was never POSSIBLE until Xbox. The hard drive is ESSENTIAL to this game. Fun Fun Fun!
Graphics: Stunning. Beautiful. Walk through the water while on PAUSE, and you'll be sold. This is a piece of art!
Sound: Ever play "Nights"? The music is very simalar. Kinda....mystical circus music, i guess. It really fits the whole theme that the visuals set up for this game.

Overall: Overall, this game is amazing. Great imagination on the developers part. Manipulation of time...who would have thought? The tutorial was simple and the game was REALLY easy to get a handle on. The camera angles aren't that bad....I don't see what some reviewers are complaining about when thy say the camera angles suck.
Gameplay: Control is great. I thought the time manipulation was going to be confusing, but it's extemely easy. You can upgrade your weapons and unlock secrets. This game seems to have a lot of replay value.
Graphics: Graphics are awesome. The lighting and interaction with the environment is great. As in ever game that has water...that's the best part. Reflections of the surrounding environment and the ripple effect when Blinx jumps in and runs through it. The backround has that Tim Burton/Nightmare Before Christmas feel to it. It's pretty cool.
Sound: Lots of sound. Very crisp and the music is cool. I don't even have it hooked up to DD 5.1 and it sounds badass.
Suggestions: Have Blinx speak English. I just find it to be annoying and I don't want to read sub-titles. But, that's just me. It is unique, though.
