Overall: What happened EA. This game takes a big step back in the MOH series with okay graphics and bad A.I.
Gameplay: The games controls and camera angles are horrible. The game is way to short but you don't notice because your losing all the time with the bad controls and camera angles.
Graphics: The graphics are good but could be a lot better. They did do a good job on the cinematics. The Pearl Harbor scene is unbelievable.
Sound: EA did a good job on the different sounds of the weapons on this one, they all sound very realistic. The sound is the best part of this mediocre game.
Suggestions: Go back to Frontline, you did that almost perfectly.

Overall: After conquering The Suffering, I wanted
a change of pace. Rising Sun, with its
realistic gameplay and far-flung locations,
provided just what I needed. This is a
beautiful WWII game with truly spectacular
locations. Anyone who does not enjoy
blowing up the bridge on the river Kwai or
riding through the nighttime jungles of
the Philippines simply does not have a
clue. This game has two key flaws: the
bonus requirements are almost impossible
to meet, and there aren't enough levels.
But if you judge this on gameplay and
visuals and sound alone, this is a top
notch FPS.
Gameplay: You run and gun your way through Asia
and the South Pacific, killing Japs,
shooting down planes, sinking ships, and
blowing up bridges. We all know the
formula. What sets this apart is the Medal
of Honor attention to realism and detail.
You feel like you are really in the Pacific
theater during WWII. As I said, the two big
problems are the extreme difficulty of
achieving medals (you have to get like 80%
accuracy on every level without getting hit
more than 100 times) and the limited
number of levels. The game ends with a
cliffhanger, so they'd better have a sequel
in store. How about Medal of Honor:
Graphics: Visuals are excellent from start to finish. I
especially loved the jungles and the
riverboat ride through the Philippines.
The game has great atmosphere, and it
was a lot of fun to be transported out of
my living room and into this turbulent war
Sound: The sound is great! I love games that
actually utilize 5.1 surround sound.
Totally immerses you in the environment.
Every game should pay this much
attention to sound.
Suggestions: The game should have been longer. Plus:
When are you guys going to deliver a
Vietnam game?

Overall: I have to say that i was very disapointed with this game... the graphics, enemy AI, the whole game.... what has happened to EA games?? they used to be my favorite development company, but now they are cutting corners, trying to make games cheaply, and bringing them out on evrery platform! overall: one of the most dissapointing games for xbox.
Gameplay: game play is easy enough to get used to, but levels are small, and very enclosed, you only have two directions to move, forwards... or back.... very exciting..
Graphics: first glance at this game, and you think it should have been on the ps1... terribal visuals, and on the last level, how do i explain?... when you are in the plane... it all just looks messed up! and the water effects are awful, it just looks like the painted the texture blue.. no movement.. terribal... and on levels, your scenarios are scattered with 2D trees... you just cant get away with that on xbox... but having said all that, this game is saved a point because it does have very good cut-scenes, and at some points in the of the visuals can be quite good, but you will be hard pushed to find them.
Sound: sound is not too bad, alright actually, but there is nothing there that you would hear and it would really get you into the game... like halo... ahhhh.. halo.....
Suggestions: the addition of multiplayer did give the game longer playability... but please EA pleeeaase!! work on the graphics... what has happened to EA..... what has happened!!!!

Overall: This is an awesome game! Just like Frontline the bginning is one of the best I have seen in any game ever! Great WW2 shooter.
Gameplay: You are sleeping in your bunk on one of the battleships at Pear Harbor on December 7th. You are awaken by an explosion. Then you have to make it to the top of the ship and shoot down Japanese fighters. Your ship is sunk, then you get on a little ship and protect other ships. And that is just the first level. Tons of weapons. The Japanese come at you with their bayonets. If you thought Frontline was bad because you never had any teammates, well in Rising Sun you have plenty of teammates. The Pearl Harbor level will blow you away. There is a co-op mode and 4 player split screen mode.
Graphics: This is one part of the game that could be improved on for sure. The graphics just dont seem to come together in some places. But, nonetheless it doesnt affect the exoerience of Rising Sun.
Sound: Awesome sound. The planes, weapons, and voices sound fantastic.
Suggestions: Make another Medal of Honor with more missions, better graphics, and make it online for XBOX! Other than that this one was great!

Overall: It's a Medal of Honor: Pacific Assualt (PC), stripped down for xbox, just like Medal of Honor: Allied Assault was turned into frontline. This game is disgusting. I never really liked Frontline, and I wasn't so sure about this game, but I am taking it back to best buy tomorrow...Its a WWII game set in the Pacific start off and it tries to open like the movie 'Pearl Harbor' showed the battle, but it doesn't exactly pull it off.
Gameplay: The shooting in this game really confuses me...when I am being shot, i get a little red thingie on my thingie and i turn in that direction, and I cant find the !&%$@#* guy...they blend in too well, and i KNOW that wasnt their intention...
Graphics: The graphics are really pathetic, given the capabilities of the xbox. If the Pacific Assault graphics are half this bad, I am going to be very sick...Medal of Honor is falling apart for consoles...people just need a WWII shooter, so they give it a good review... The character models arent very crisp, and there are not enough character movements. Watching AI run is almost laughable...
Sound: The sounds are ok, like frontline this is probably the best part of the game...besides the off button on my xbox. It sounds pretty good on surround sound...
Suggestions: Yes...port the PC titles, stop making 'original' titles. There is NOTHING wrong with MOH:AA...and please dont !&%$@#* Call of Duty up when you make it for consoles....I'm really tired of getting these EA-ps2 designed pieces of !&%$@#* . If anyone from EA is reading this, consider this the last straw...I'm really sick of you holding Sony's dicks, giving full online support, and giving us the crappy ps2 graphics with sometimes NO multiplay...

Overall: first off let me say I am a huge medal of honor fan. that being said this game does not feel like a medal of honor game. by taking the series out of the european theater it loses any character the previous games have had. star wars episodes 1 & 2 sucked but they at least felt like star wars.
Gameplay: you run and you shoot with some rail guided missions thrown in ( very early on I might add ).the level design is somewhat confusing at times and they have save points you must find to save your progress during missions which you will need because the hit detection is somewhat spotty. I have been playing on the hard diffulculty but a head shot should still count as a one hit kill, sometimes it does sometimes it doesnt. your allies are totally idiotic and will actually block your line of fire sometimes but dont worry, you can shoot them as many times as you want. as for your enemy they just dont seem right. maybe its because your not battling the nazis that it feels so disjointed , maybe its because the enemy respawn while you try to find your way out of what is basically a green maze. rent it and youll see what Im talking about , it just doesnt feel like a medal of honor game. big mistake on E.As part is changing the control scheme and not giving you the option to control the same as frontline. there is only one button to switch weapons ( which as far as I can tell you only get 2 in a level ) the x button is now the grenade button so you will be throwing grenades on accident while trying to reload. the grenade button is not analog so dont sweat blowing yourself up because that grenade will go far. since you have so little control over the accuracy of your grenades the only time you will throw them is when your trying to reload. the framerate has been upped a little except when your in aim mode and then you will wonder if the game has frozen on you. some enemys will die with only 5 or 6 hits to the chest or head , some with one hit to the head, its very spotty and inconsistent. the music is one of the biggest dissapointments, gone is the sweeping score of saving private ryan and in its place is don ho elevator music(or is that muzak?). Im being negative but I did have high hopes for this one.
Graphics: some visuals such as the smoke and explosions are done well ( suprising for an E.A. xbox game ) but some levels are just plain boring. granted I didnt beat the game yet because of the spotty hit detection which will totally take you out of the game but Im not expecting much. frontline will put you more in the frame of mind for a WWII than this . this actually reminds me of soldier of fortune 2. the pearl harbor level is done very well and everything else is polished looking for what it is but believe me it aint much. sometimes you see where your bullet will hit and a puff of dirt will fly up and sometimes you will hit an enemys hand and they will react as if they got hit in the hand which is all well and good but most of the time you will just shoot blindly and hope for the best. the character models are actually creepy looking up close and the reload animations have been sped up a little but that just makes it look more cartoony. the stationary guns are useless since there is flak and bullet trails but even though it looks loke your hitting the enemy they dont die unless you aim way low so that throws off the sense off realism . although the graphics are a step up from frontline , frontline is actually better because you at least get a sense of place.
Sound: guns sound good , music sounds bad. I miss the old guy who briefed your missions in frontline. that is replaced by cutscenes of what can only be described as corny . its like come on guys and get out of the closet already. the enemy banzai shouts are interesting in a laughable sort of way. its all so stereotyped.
Suggestions: BRING BACK THE NAZIS. put us back in the european theater or at least give us some missions that are not grunt work. make your allies a little smarter and implement friendly fire for a more realistic feel . can the don ho soundtrack and bring back the orchestra . bring the old control scheme back or give us the freedom to choose. and seriously fix the hit detection , nothing will ruin a fps faster than spotty hit detection.
