"With the holidays slowly approaching you might start seeing all kinds of different games flashing on the TV or pages in magazines, but there is one game that might be over looked in all the chaos of advertising and in my opinion it shouldn’t be, Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy. Developed by Eurocom Entertainment, Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy sets the stage of gaming goodness by taking you into some ancient Egyptian history and mythology. As the story goes you play as Sphinx, a pointed ear, long tail demigod, who is set out on a mission by Imhotep, a monkey like magician, to stop the evil that is rising in Uruk."
Overall: A quest game. where you go through obstacle and tiggers to set it off. I've gotten lost in the game. I Also loose track of time playing this game. Gameplay: switch between the mummy and sphinx to get the quest done. You start with the sphinxs and go a little ways then switch to the mummy. they are working to get the quest done. Graphics: you almost get lost looking for things to do and tiggers for continuing the quest. I do like the graphics. Sound: the sound is based on a western theme with a roman sound mixed to gether. i rarly pa attention to the sound do to being lost in the game.
Overall: Overall this game is extremly fun and unique. Cheers to Eurocom for making such an interesting game. Gameplay: The gameplay is a lot like Zelda 64, you run around and talk to people and use your items by selecting them onto a cross button diagram. Sphinx progresses the story and does the talking and fighting, and The Mummy does all of the puzzle solving and brainwork. Both are interesting although some people have told me that they enjoy The Mummy more than sphinx. The Game does not take itself too seriously which is a great thing! Graphics: Everything is crisp and smoothe with lots of fine detail added to the landscape. I especially like the character animation both facial and skeletal because Sphinx will somtimes smirk or make a face that goes along with whatever is going on. Sound: Sound. This is the only problem I have with the game. There are no voice overs, but only some jibbering and so on to simulate talking. If it was not for the music I would have given sound description a 2.5. Suggestions: Some voice overs would have been nice, but you have already made a great game so I will not complain.
