Amped: Freestyle Snowboarding
Overall: Some people may say that this game lacks some good multiplayer features, but if they actually played the game for a long time each and everyone would realize just how good this game really is. Single player mode will take a long time and is very challenging. Which is very good for the hardcore gamer because its not the type of game you pick up play for a week and then set it down on your shelf for the rest of time. You can save your own replays, which allows you to watch your amazing runs as you pull off 200,000+ moves. Overall it is just THE best snowboarding game there is, realistic, challenging and a whole heap of fun. Whenever you can snowboard where ever you want and not be constrained by a !&%$@#* time limit.. its all good!Gameplay: During the gameplay there are never any slowdowns. The only time I ever experienced slow downs are when I am switching through songs during one of my runs. The menu section of the game does take some time to load though and that is the only real setback. Everything moves crisply, the controls are a little hard to learn at first especially for an average gamer, but once you learn them you can pull off great tricks.. all it takes is patience.
Graphics: The graphics are the most astounding graphics that I have seen for a snowboarding game.. The snowboarder models are awesome, especially when you can dress them any way you want and give them any snowboard you want. The snow looks very close to real, you leave tracks in it as you go down the hill.. sure they disappear after a while but its still cool. The whole runs are very detailed and give you so much room to snowboard and so many places to do tricks. Trees, pipes, jumps.. you name it.. just great graphics.
Audio: What I can't understand is how some people give the sound a low score... Any game that has the XBox soundtrack feature is an automatic 5/5, 10/10 or what it may be. Its your own music that you can listen to! Oh and the sound f/x are very well done too, when your snowboarding through deep snow or ice covered.. it sounds very acurate to the real deal.
Suggestions: The only thing I suggest.. is add a split screen multiplayer.. and some more multiplayer options.... other than that.. the career mode is fantastic.. best I've EVER played.
