Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee
Overall: Oddworld is a unique game, requiring not only fast fingers, but also a bit of brain power. Everything about it is original and creative. The ideas behind the game are wonderful, the story is involved, and the game, unlike most games, isn't just software with which you press random buttons rapidly and stare at the screen.
Gameplay: The actual moving around isn't anything to get excited about, but the puzzle/action gameplay is. Although the puzzle-like levels can be a challenge, it's extremely satifying when you complete an area.
Graphics: The graphics are fantastic...from some viewpoints. I say this because from up high/far away, the levels are incredibly realistic and huge, but when the camera comes down to the players view, the edges become jagged, the textures....well...suck, and everything becomes generally ugly. I really think the developers should've used a loading system like halo's. All of this only goes for the outdoor levels. I have nothing to complain about in the indoor levels. They're perfect. Enough said.
Audio: I really wanted to give this game a 5 for sound, but the little music it has get's repetitive. Other than the music, the sound is great. The character acting is hilarious, and the sound-effects are crisp yet slightly cartoon-ish, like they should be.
