Project Gotham Racing
Overall: PGR is a steaming pile of crap, in a nice package! I got this game all pumped up about its hype. I pugged it in and I was in awe! This game rocks I thought. I started to play, I breazed though the first couple missions, liking what I saw for the first hour! Then the second hour started and so did the BS that pgr will pull. Overall the game has great appeal to start out with but then begins quickly turns into the most fustrating game ever!Gameplay: Cars don't handle all that great, not as bad as other games I have played. The powerside is inconsistant and dosn't always work to perfection. Tons of different "missions" to complete that range from easy to pulling your hair out! Most people that bought this game are not being honest about how they feel about this game, since they have it they want to make sure there investment is well spent. They will say this game is "challanging" well if you want a game that will take sometimes hours to complete 1 race this is the game for you...because you will be doing the same thing over and over! Also I noticed on the more advanced levels that it didn't matter what car you drove cars would catch up to me when I was the fastest car in the game! overall the gameplay is seriously lacking! Needs to be rehauled for PGR2, otherwise you can count me out....Is this extreme sports game or a racing game? Seems like the developers didn't know either when the made the game....Kudos suck! I want to race for money or other cars, not style points, who cares how I look getting there, its how you get there! So basicly the game holds you to the path the developers want you to take to finish the mission.
Graphics: Now I have to be honest this game looks great! Better then GT3...but as you all know graphics can't carry a crappy game! The reflections, car damage, and enviroments are very nice! A little bit of drawn in, but gt3 is alot worse!
Audio: Good music and sdfx and the ability to make your own soundtrack is phat! But once again if the gameplay sucks who cares about the sdtk!
Suggestions: please revamp the gameplay it sucks, an adjusting difficulty would be nice. Need to have a couple high speed tracks that are fairly strait...those are the best for 2 player mode. Get ride of KUDOS! Race for place or pink slips. Make cars upgradable....why can no one make a awsome racing game!
