Overall: Well I picked up Moto GP last night after hearing a bunch of other fellow XBA addicts rave about this game. Let me tell you, they were definetly not wrong. This game is a definate must buy if you are into racing games whasoeover. Basically this game consists of Quick Start, Arcade Championship, and the Grand Prix Championship. As you progress through the game you build up your bike through four distinct performance attributes :
Cornering, Braking, Top Speed, and Acceleration. There is also a very in depth training seesion that helps you in all the four aspects mentioned above.
Gameplay: Okay, the gameplay is excellent and I love the way the controls are set up. Since other people have already discussed this I'm going to talk to you more about the online gameplay through Xboxconnect.
Let me start out by sayingt this is the way this game is meant to be played. Last night I raced online for about 2 hours having the most fun I have had in a while with online gaming and my Xbox. The game is just much more intense when your racing some other human as opposed to some AI riders. Another cool feature is that you obviously can race your own bike that you have created in the single player protion of the game. Therefore, if you get really good and have an extremely stout bike no one online is gonna be able to touch you in a race:)
Graphics: The graphics are amazing and the blur that occurs at higher speeds is just unreal. You get a true sense of speed with this effect. Other than that the courses look bueatiful and I couldn't ask for anything more. The tracks are very accurate to the originals down to the bump strips at the corners:)
Audio: The bike sounds in this game are average. As others have said a 500cc bike whirring away all day long isn't the most exciting thing. It is pretty intense when your racing with a 20 other riders though. The other ambient sounds in the game are very nicely done. Once again you can play with your own soundtracks which is a must in my opinion...
Suggestions: Sound: Maybe create more sounds for the different bikes, I know Yamaha, Honda etc all don't have bikes that sound exactly the same.
Bike Details: It would be cool if maybe you could get sponsor decals on your own bike that you create.
