Amped: Freestyle Snowboarding
Overall: This is one of my favorite titles, by far. I love this game, can't play it enough. I have played SSX as well, and did like it very much. However, I think I like Amped a little better. Get SSX if you like off the wall, not realistic tricks (as in against the laws of physics, completely), fast paced racing action, down very long courses. However, get Amped if you like real courses (shorter in length, but not nearly as linear, more options and shortcuts), real boarders, slightly more realistic tricks, and pretty crisp graphics.Gameplay: The game is hard, very hard. Finally a title I cannot beat in a few days. This game takes skill. The controls take a bit to get used to though. But when you do, it's all downhill from there (pardon the pun). The multiplayer is turn based, which is okay I suppose, but racing would be a nice addition.
Graphics: I like the graphics a lot. The snow, the character models, and worlds, all are very nice and sharp. I like how the snow kicks up behind you as you go down the hill, and I really like the replay feature.
Audio: Can't complain about the sound when you can use custom tracks. The standard tracks kept me going for a while, but having your own songs too is even better. The sound effects are pretty standard for a snowboarding game, though.
Suggestions: Racing in multiplayer would be nice. Maybe a few levels that are much longer, and more linear, to mix it up a bit. Excellent game though! No real complaints.

Wreckless: The Yakuza Mission
Overall: Overall, this game is pretty good. Mind you, I wouldn't write home about it. The graphics are great, but the story seems like the major drawback. The sound is common for this type of game as well, lacking custom user tracks, of course.Gameplay: The controls are pretty much standard like any other car game. You always are in your car, except in cut scenes. Cut scenes are few and far between, however. I have to admit, the story is lame and has no real plot to it. Missions A counter missions B for the most part as well, making for little variety. It seemed like for the most part you have to destroy the Yakuza cars. This gets old after a while. However the great graphics, simple control, and scense of fun help raise the gameplay appeal up, no matter what the plot is like.
Graphics: The graphics are great. Water, is simply amazing looking. Some of the best I have seen. Period. The character models are dull, which are a characteristic of this type of game it seems. Graphics only make 50% of the game though, so you can't go by the graphics alone.
Audio: The sound isn't anything to write home about, either. It seems to be your standard techno tracks. This comes with the type of game, though, so I don't mind. Too bad there is no custom music feature. It keeps my interest enough.
Suggestions: Custom music. Larger levels, not really more, but larger. Free roaming mode, all the way. Ability to hit people on the streets. Just a few things I'd change, overall, a very nice game!

Jet Set Radio Future
Overall: Wow, this game is really a fun game. There is so much to do in each of the levels. The levels are massive, very detailed, and provide for any style of player, be it that they are someone that pulls off tricks and stunts, someone who simply explores and roams around, or someone that gets right down to the objectives at hand. This game is not for everyone though, but I'd say it would appeal to more people than you think. I bought this game on gut instinct, thinking that I would soon regret it, but so far, I am really glad I bought it!Gameplay: The game is a lot of fun. It seems as if it could appeal to young kids as well as adults. To adults there would be a bit more stategy in finding the hidden parts of levels that a young kid would miss, though. The gameplay is smooth, fun, and addicting. You can go to and from any level as you please. It seems that all the levels I have unlocked so far center around the garage, a hang out for all of your characters. The levels take a while to beat, and there is plenty to do in each one. There are a few cons to the gameplay however. For one, there is no thinking to doing moves. One button rotates you 180°, so you can skate backwards. Two other buttons are used for trick combos, but the tricks are nothing special in themselves. You cannot really fall easily, either. Doing moves is not much more than tapping a button, but then again, moves are not the object of the game. One other thing I find annoying is a "quit" feature. It seems that you have to turn the game off to get the the main screen, which doesn't really make sense.
Graphics: The graphics are really nice. I don't really like cel-shaded graphics, but these are done so nicely that it changed my mind. Levels are filled with dozens or more people roaming around. Sadly they all move before you can hit them. The buildings are very nice looking as well. Overall I am very impressed with the look of the game, for what it is. No real glitches either, which is always a plus.
Audio: The sound in the game really shines. The soundtracks they have are unique, and very good sounding, which suprised me actually. The tracks have a techno sound to many of them. Also, there are a few common songs many people have actually heard before! The sounds goes with the game very nicely.
Suggestions: Create a better user interface, which allows to go back to the main menu. Online support would be nice as well. And even though the soundtracks are great, the Xbox can use custom soundtracks, put this feature to use!
