Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow

Overall: The next installment to the Rainbow Six franchaise, this time on the Xbox. The first Rainbow Six 3 on the Xbox was all good but there were many glitches and action replay users which made the game harder to play. Ubisoft has come in and fixed the glitches, beefed up the grpahics a little, added some impressive new maps and gametypes, and given players the option of clans! To sum it up, this is worth the dollar.

Of course, all of the above is speaking in terms of LIVE gameplay. Offline, this game sucks, but its worth it if you have Xbox LIVE.

Gameplay: R63: BA's gameplay is pretty much the same as the original R63, but now there are the new gametypes.

Total Conquest has you and your team running around trying to hack satilites and hold them for a certain amount of time to win. There are always 3 in total, and if you have only 2 by the end of the round, your team wins automatically.

Retrieval is very similar to Capture the Flag. Two teams have spawn points that are at an equal distance from eachother and have to get a canister and place it in a deposit box by the opposing teams spawn point. While holding the canister, you can only use your secondary weapon.

Ubisoft has also added in a feature that prevents draws. Whichever team has the most people alive wins. If both teams have the same amount of people alive, then it goes onto whichever team has the most health. If both teams are also equal in terms of health, it goes to whoever won the previous round.

One of my few complaints about this game was the lack of new weapons. It had all the same weapons from the first game, but they added only ONE new weapon, being the Dragnuv sniper rifle. They also removed the M85A1 .50 Calibur Sniper Rifle for those wondering.

The maps in this game are also incredibly large, much bigger than those in the original. It takes some getting used to, but once you know the maps, you can own anybody. There are lots of hiding spots, and lots of routes throughout the maps now, but there isn't anything thats unbalanced. Both teams usually have the same advantage, but at times when playing Total Conquest, one team will have an advantage over the other.

Graphics: The graphics aren't very special. Not much of an update over the last, just most touches to maps here and there. Some maps have had walls added or walls removed, and the cars in Garage are now different colors.

The character models look the same as well, but Eddie Price seems to look a little different than in the previous game.

Gun models also haven't seemed to change, same detail as before, if not a tiny bit better. Fire from the muzzle doesn't look much different, but it looks quite realistic.

Grenades and Charge detonations look superb. Smoke follows and explosion, sparks fly at times, and people can go blind when a flash bang explodes in front of you.

The lighting seems to be alot better in this game. Alot of maps aren't as dark as before, while some are to set the perfect mood.

Audio: The sound in Black Arrow is probobly one of the best parts. If you have 5.1 Surround Sound, make full use of it because you can hear peoples footsteps around you, grenade explosions nearby, and bullets whizzing by your face.

The weapons sound fairly realistic and haven't seemed to change much from the original.

Suggestions: The game is great, and the new LIVE modes and stuff are great. Again, I wish there were more new weapons instead of the Dragnuv alone. Possibly some downloadable weapons would be great. If there's going to be a "Rainbow Six 4" or something, I would like to hope for Bump-mapped graphics, but as long as the game looks good and plays good, I'm happy.

Overall Score: 9.0 / 10
Project Gotham Racing 2

Overall: I don't know what some people are thinking saying that this game sucks, and giving it a 1/5 because this game is quite amazing. A great car selection, realistic and not-so realistic at the same time, great mutilplayer, amazing graphics, and little lag when playing online. It is a great improvement over the first, and is a must have for any racing fan.

Gameplay: Great gameplay, each car handles smoothly and responds great. Certain cars have terrible handling and are a b!tch to drive, while others have great handling. Like I said, some people said this game sucks and the cars are impossible to drive, they must not be so good at this game because its easy to control each car. The Enzo Ferrari handles great, and each car isnt impossible to earn. The AI is hard, and sometimes easy during single player. The game is easy to just jump right into and play. Online is definately a great part of the game, that alone is worth buying it. One objective of the game is to collect Kudo's which are basically points for doing moves, and basically giving you points for "how you drive fast".

Graphics: The game's graphics are definately astounding. Light gleams off the cars, the shadows cast by your car look great and realistic. This game has got to be one of the best looking games out on the xbox today. Cities looks great, Japan casts a neon glow at night, Florence has shadows cast everywhere with its ancient buildings, and Washington has tons of historic momuments placed there. The signs and gaurdrails look as they should, and the HUD looks like it usually does. Another great feature is how the car gets beat up, and wrecked if you are in one too many car pile-ups and crashes.

Audio: Cars do sound a bit weak at time, but they always end up sounding like they should; CARS! Ferraris sound like Ferrari's, a Mini Cooper sounds like a weak-@$$ machine, SUV's have the distinctive ruggedness sound in them. Its great how you can listen to your own soundtracks during the game and during Xbox LIVE games, which is a plus. Nearby cars can be heard over your own engines at times depending on which one, but each car does sound great. When you smash or crash into an object, the sound of crunching, banging, or anything else you'd expect can be heard.

Suggestions: Keep this up. Add some new car companies and models like Lambourghini's and Maserati's.

Overall Score: 9.0 / 10
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell

Overall: This is an amazing game!!! You are Sam Fischer, you go sneaking around to gather any information on the baddies. This is a very fun game. I don't know why some people say it sucks. It is very realistic, from the guns and gadgets, to the moves. If you have an Xbox, you have to have this game.(Halo too)

Gameplay: This game is quite simple to control. You move around with the left joystick, control the camera with the right, shoot with the right trigger, pull out your gun with x, jump with y, crouch with b,and a is your action button. When your pistol is out, you use the right joyystick to aim. When your other gun is out, you press Y to zoom in, and hold the left trigger to hold your breathe, and shoot with the right trigger. It's much simpler than it sounds. The levels are long and short, it depends which one. And it is very fun to sneak up behind a guy, and grab him, then knock him out. Buy this game.

Graphics: The gaphics are amazing. This is the first game where you have to hide in the shadows to not get caught.Everything casts a shadow and you can make your own by shooting out lights. Buildings are interative and modelled well.Awnings are very realistic and sometimes you can see same in the glass windows. This game has graphics close to or even the same as Halo!

Audio: Everthing sounds the way it should in this game. When you knock out a guy, you hear the klunk and hear him fall. When you fire your gun, it sounds just like a silenced pistol. When you fire something else out of the gun, you hear the suction on the wall. And when you through a bottle a something and it shatters, sounds the same as in real life. The voice acting is very well done. Footsteps and walking along something sounds identical.

Suggestions: For Pandora tommorrow, make more levels and make sure the online play is worth buying the game. Add some new guns, gadgets, and moves. Otherwise...Keep up the good work!

Enter the Matrix

Overall: HOLY CRAP! This has got to be one of da best games for 2003!!! You think you played an amzing game? Play this! It's of course not better than HALO, but it is still good. You have to choose between Ghost and Niobe( I know,no Neo,Trinity or Morpheus) and go through a series of missions that is a story within a story. It ties in with the movie, The Matrix Reloaded.I saw it, so I know.Another cool thing is that it shows real footage filmed especially for the game and even some parts are from the Matrix Reloaded.

Gameplay: This game has crazy gameplay! Not only can you use guns, but you can use your own fists and feet. You can do so much with your own body.Plus there are a ton of moves from the movies. You know, running on walls, flying up and kicking someone in the face. Gun play is also very fun, watching a guy fall to the ground cuz you fired a shotgun round at him. Also, you can drive a car or your ship, the Logos. If you choose Niobe, you drive. If you choose Ghost, you shoot from the passenger seat.Alright!

Graphics: The graphics are pretty good.Up to the Xbox's level maybe better. Its not halo, but its good. You can see your shadow when on a ladder, or see a huge explosion when you throw a grenade. You can also see reflections off Niobe's coat. Levels are crisp and cool and cinematics are as they always, better than gameplay graphics. Like I said, some cinematics are real...literally.

Audio: The sound in this game is amazing! The music suits the Gameplay and sometimes it'll scare the crap outta you if a guy pops out of nowhere. Every gun sounds like its suppose to, even when the shells hit the floor. Also, punches, kicks and other actions sound perfect. When you climbing ladders of running up stairs, the sound of you feet change.Cruising music is really good.

Suggestions: If you make another Matrix game, make sure you can be Neo, Trinity or Morpheus.Other than that, Keep up the good work!

Overall Score: 10.0 / 10
Halo

Overall: This is the best game for xbox.If u think game sucks, you are the stupidest person.(I don't know if thats even a word)This game is tight. The guns are amazing and powerful. The enemies can be easy or can be really tough. The controls are sort of hard to get used to at first, but then you get the hang of it.If u have xbox, then u got to have this game.

Gameplay: Like I said, controls r a little hard to get used 2 at first but then u get the hang of it.Now all the games have controls very similar to halo. The game can be little hard to beat, but its not impossible. Objectives are straight forward and enemy AI is pretty good. The story is very detailed and interesting. One of those games that makes u want to watch the cinematics.

Graphics: Halo's graphics are probobly one of the best graphics on the xbox.Master Cheif looks almost real and the cinematics are top of line. The enviorments are also very detailed, tree's,water, rocks and even snow looks very real. The aliens are also very realistic, like a movie.Every character in this game is made a little differently, and made special. And the timing for the voice acting is perfect.Everyword looks like it's coming from the characters mouth.

Audio: The sound in this game is amazing! The guns are so realistic. From the !&%$@#* of a shotgun to a blast of a rocket launcher, it all sounds different.Voice acting is also very good. Each character has perfect timing and has the perfect voice for their character.Aliens shouting and grunting is cool and the background music can be freaky for certain levels. When driving a vehicle, u hear the engine or whatever is in the alien one.And you even hear elevators in some levels and you hear the door opening when walking towards or through one.The music also suits the level its played in.

Suggestions: Make a Holo trilogy.I know you're coming out with Halo 2, but come out with Halo 3.Also, make them all Xbox live compatible. And add a couple new guns and aliens.

Overall Score: 10.0 / 10
James Bond 007: NightFire

Overall: This is da best FPS game i've seen since Halo.Pick this one up! Everything is good!If you like James Bond movies and you like FPS u gotta pick tis up!!!

Gameplay: Solid gameplay. The missions for single player are stunning.Good objectives,long...its all good. The only problem is that the missions are easy...easier than Agent Under Fire. But still is very good.Multiplayer is very good, I love to play it.Better than Goldeneye.

Graphics: The graphics are amazing.Especially at da cinematics. They are clear, colourful and timed write. Every word looks like its coming out of Bond's mouth. The car levels look pretty good, but cud have been better. Also, Bond, looks like Peirce Brosnan...very well done.

Audio: The sound is very good. It is always clear. The voices are all very good, even though Peirce Brosnan didn't support the voice acting. Everyone else hasn't been on a movie so the voices are good to me. New Zoe Nightshade voice also. Gun sounds are also good. everything sounds like it should, even the screamin Geisha girls.

Suggestions: More car levels, better graphics for car levels.More missions or extra objectives for different skill levels. Keep this up EA!

Overall Score: 10.0 / 10
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4

Overall: This game is long! There r 14 goals for each level, then when u get 90 pro points and unlock the pro challenges. Once u beat 1 challenge u unlock pro goals which add 7 new goals to each level. Its a tough game, but im almost done. Its the best THPS game in the series. Buy this game!!! I recomend it.

Gameplay: Better than 2x and 3, u get to go up to people and get objectives, which make it more realistic.Controls are the same and there are some new specials. My personal fav is B-Ballin Slide.

Graphics: Graphics are sweeet! Again they're better the 2x's and 3's. The levels are huge and everything looks better than it shud. Cuts appear when u fall and the bottom of ur board gets scratched and the pic fades. All the skaters look exactly like they do in real life.

Audio: U can listen 2 ur own soundtrack or tracks from the game. There ol' school songs.(N.W.A, Iron Maidon) Most skaters scream when they fall, grinds sound perfect! Supports Dolby Digital 5.1!

Suggestions: This game was perfect. I hope they make THPS 5 or sumthin. I think there should be more unlockable or buyable skaters. And some more hairstyles for create-a-skater.

Overall Score: 10.0 / 10
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3

Overall: This game is the best THPS yet!!! It is sort of challenging but if your used to THPS2x you could propobly beat it. I suggest you buy it, the music is good, the graphics are good and the gameplay is amazing!!!

Right now, it is my absolute favourite game!!!

Gameplay: The gameplay of this game is amazing!!! There are over 12 skaters to choose from to play freeskate, career, singlesession and multiplayer. The controls are the easiest yet!

It was good on the PS2 and Gamecube, now its even better on the Xbox!

Graphics: The graphics in this game are the best out of the 3! The people look good, the levels look good, everything looks good!!!

When you fall, the blood stays there, instead of fading away. When you are doing a trick it looks so real its scary!

The graphics are propobly the best part of this game, and that's why I give visual appeal a 5.0.

Audio: The soundeffects in this game go withit perfectly! When you fall, you here a "thump", when someone is talking to you it matches there looks perfectly.

The songs they chose for this game are go perfect with it, with trax like Xzibit,Red hot chili peppers and Redman, it is the ultimate game!!!

Suggestions: My suggestions for the developers are... keep this up! If they keep this up for THPS4 they'll be billion, even trillionares!!!

Overall Score: 10.0 / 10
